Meet our good friend Alex Mackenzie from Pentland Music - Scotlandās Premier Ukulele Store and one of the nicest people you'll ever meet in the ukulele world!
Over the past few years, I've been gently encouraging Alex to put himself out there more, trust his incredible talent, and say "yes" to as many ukulele festivals as possible. Sometimes all a great musician needs is a little nudge!
Having just returned from an unforgettable weekend at the Findhorn Ukulele Festival, where he shared the stage with ukulele legends such as Andy Eastwood, Jo McParland, Peter Moss and Ukulele Saz, it's fair to say something has been ignited.
We couldn't be happier for him, and we have no doubt that this is just the beginning. Here's to seeing Alex on festival stages around the country for many years to come, inspiring audiences and sharing his love of music wherever he goes.
If you haven't had the pleasure of hearing Alex play yet, treat yourself to this beautiful instrumental rendition of Sir Elton John's classic "Your Song", played on his trusty 20th Anniversary All solid Koa KALA.
We think you'll agree he's got something rather special.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be slowly building and refining our display stands for both Shrewkfest - and the Ukulele Festival of Great Britain.
As many of you know, even with a stand as big as ours, it's impossible to bring absolutely everything. So we're putting the question to YOU...
What would you like to see on display at the festivals?š¤
Are there any Kala models you've always wanted to try?
Any U-BASSĀ® instruments you've been curious about?
Any favourites you'd like us to make sure we bring along?
Drop your suggestions in the comments below! š
And for those of you who have been following my product development journey over the past year or so...
I'm delighted to say that we're finally ready to bring the finished articles to market.
To start whetting your appetite, I'll be sharing a few teaser images over the coming weeks. But if you want the full story, you'll need to be at the Ukulele Festival of Great Britain, where we'll be unveiling them exclusively for the very first time!
Trust me... it's been a long time coming, and I can't wait to show you what we've been working on.
Who's joining us this festival season? š¤
Let's start winding you lot up with this beauty!

WHO LET THE DOGS OUT?! š¶
A whole pack of Salt & Pepper Series ukuleles is padding its way down to the Southern Ukulele Store, Bournemouth, alongside a kennel-full of other uke goodness.
But I had to paws for a moment and snap a quick photo of the grain on this KA-SDH-BE (Baritone).
The grain? Fetching.
The tone? Howl-worthy.
The vibes? Off the leash.
Either way.... it's certainly got me panting!
Right that's enough Doggy puns for the day. Although......feel free to add to them in the comment section. Lol
Oh and more importantly........HAPPY FRIDAY!
Have a great Weekend Y'all!
