THE REAL WORK ISN’T ALWAYS VISABLE:

🤔 I often think that people looking in on a Pilates class think it looks ‘easy’ or ‘boring’ but it’s so much more than that. Taking the pelvic curl as an example…

😮‍💨 You’re connecting proper breath to movement noticing how the breath expands three dimensionally into your ribs and your belly.

🧘‍♀️ You’re noticing how your spine works with your pelvis and ribs, how as the pelvis rolls back you grow long in the tail bone, space is created in your lower back and your ribs gently soften towards your hips.

💪 You’re connecting to all your deep core muscles, your pelvic sling closing and pulling up, your TVA wrapping around your lower torso like a corset is being gently pulled from the back of you.

💛This is awareness and connection.

🖤This is Pilates.

ℹ️ Classes run on a Tuesday and Saturday.
