Sofa to 5K? Let's do this! 🛋️➡️👟➡️🏃‍♀️

Battle Town FC Runners are starting a new NHS Couch to 5K course on Sunday 27th September at 4pm.

📍 Meet us at the children’s castle at the Recreation Ground.

If the thought of running makes you think “Absolutely not!” — don't worry! 😂

Couch to 5K doesn't ask you to suddenly run 5K. It starts with manageable run/walk intervals and gradually builds you up over 9 weeks.

We'll be there to do the first run with you each week, while you complete the other two runs in your own time.

There'll be no stopwatch pressure, no judgement and no expectation that you already know what you're doing.

Just a friendly group of people helping each other get moving.

If you've been thinking “I really should get fitter…”, “I'd love to start running…” or simply “I wonder if I could actually do it?”

Come and find out. ❤️

🏃‍♀️ Fancy giving running a go? But not sure where to start?

Battle Town FC Runners Couch to 5K is starting on Sunday 27th September at 4pm! 🎉

📍 Meet at the children’s castle at the Recreation Ground

You absolutely do not need to be a runner to join us. In fact, Couch to 5K is designed for beginners and starts with a mixture of walking and short running intervals, gradually building you up over 9 weeks.

We’ll do the first run of each week together, so you’ll have friendly faces alongside you, encouragement when you need it and absolutely no pressure to be the fastest!

You then complete the other two runs during the week in your own time, using the NHS Couch to 5K plan/app.

💚 No judgement. No racing. No need to be super-fit.

Just come along, have a go and see how you get on.

We’re a friendly, supportive bunch and we’d love to help you get started.

For the first time this season both our adult sides in the ESFL are in action.

The first team will be ready to keep pushing after opening day victory last weekend. They welcome the challenge of Sandhurst.

The Reserves finally get their season underway with an away trip to Ticehurst.

NEW SEASON STARTS TODAY

It's the first Saturday in September and that signals the start of the new ESFL season.

Battle Town's front side will kick off the campaign full of optimism as they host Victoria Baptists at Battle Rec this afternoon. Ko 2pm

Not only do the men in orange have a brand new pavilion facility, they also kick off the season with several new and exciting players in the 2026/27 squad.

After a successful pre-season, Manager Caspa Rich has a full squad of players to select from. We all wait with baited breath to discover who will be in the starting line up for the opening league game.

You can always guarantee 100% work rate from a Caspa Rich team. Nothing less is expected as his Premier league outfit aim to put three points on the board against a Vic Baps team who make their first appearance in the ESFL Premier Division following promotion from Div 1 last season.

The bankside spectators at the Rec will be expecting an exciting cutain raiser, hopefully with an entertaining game and lots of thrills and spills.

Don't miss any action. Get to your bench on the bank early and hold onto your hats for the ride.

Battle Town U11s celebrate new kit.

The shirt sponsor for the U11s is BioMedical Computing.

Proudly pictured below showing off the new team shirt is BioMedical Computing’s Managing Director, Adrian Davis, who also doubles up as BTFC Junior Section Secretary.

Battle's newest junior team is managed by Lewis Baker.
The team will start the new season on Saturday full of energy and enthusiasm with a fabulous new strip.

Best wishes to Lewis and his team of U11 players.
