Hi everyone time to call it a night.
It's was a very very late start and I only managed a couple of hours.
However I managed to get a couple of knives ready to go to their new home.
A sgian dubh finished and other one for stock.
Another couple of knives straight off the belt sander. Ready for hand finishing.

Hi everyone I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I had a long weekend and feel all the better for it.
Today I've been working on getting some blades ready for etching. This time I've sanded them up to 5000 grit. I'm hoping after the etch there will be a better contrast between the 15n20 and the 1095.
I also found a live sgian dubh it's a go mai construction of the cutting edge is 80crv2 next it's 15n20 with wrought iron cladding
Also a few knives ready to be epoxied and some leather working ready to be stitched.
It's time for a break.

Hi everyone I hope you all are well and getting ready for the weekend.
I only managed a couple of hours in the workshop today.
I did get a few kilt pins made they still need to get their brooch backs.
The sgian dubhs are not finished yet I still have to make the pommels and fit them. I can do that tomorrow.

Had my son and daughter in law staying over the weekend.
And today we have the grandkids for a sleepover..

Hi everyone I hope you all are keeping well.
Back in the workshop this afternoon for a custom of hours.
After attending the Scottish knife makers gathering at the weekend. It's taken a few days to recover lol.
I would like to thank all the guys and girls who were there for looking after me.
They are the nicest group of people you could ever meet.
Anyway I managed to work on a few knives but now it's time to call it a night.

Well it's that time night time to call it a night.
After my disaster with the sheath earlier.
I thought why not try and reuse it for the right knife.
Well I tried but I wasn't happy with and the more I look at it the more it bugged me.
So I made another one I'll leave the final shaping until tomorrow.

Well I've got to say I'm a absolute plonker as usual I was trying to do to many things at the same time.
I ended up making the kydex sheath for the wrong knife lol. I can hear my auld da laughing his ass off. Saying one thing at a time.
