Yesterday I took on a Solos SIM at Hyrox Livingston - One Space and crossed the line in 1:07:16 💪
I wasn’t feeling too great going in, but sometimes that’s part of the test — turning up anyway and getting it done. That’s the side of racing people don’t always see, but it’s often where the real progress happens. I love pushing myself.
Massive shoutout to client David Smith for completing his first ever hybrid event and absolutely smashing his target with a 1:25:19 finish. What a man 💪
And huge credit to my partner Kirsty for taking on her first ever Solos SIM and coming away with an impressive 1:10:55 🚀
Proud of my own run, proud of the people around me, and proud of the standard we’re building.
That’s what it’s all about — showing up, pushing through, and building your best self.

Not everything goes to plan❗️❗️

Achilles/calf flared up on Tuesday, so today’s session got adjusted, swapped belted squats for sled pushes. No excuses, just solutions.

If you know how to adapt and still push, you never miss. There’s always a way. And yes… still lift heavy.

It's a long reel.. but for good reasons.. here's what my clients have to say. Real reviews, real impact and changing life's for the better.

I love what I do and always strive to more reviews like these 🙌

TRACK DAY 🏃🏻‍♂️

It’s been a while since I’ve been on the track, and I loved every minute of it.

Today’s session:
10-minute warm-up
10 x 400m
90 seconds rest between reps
3-minute rest after rep 5

The work has still been getting done quietly in the background. Back on the track, putting the pieces together and enjoying the process again.

Find something to work towards, team.. it makes the journey that much more enjoyable 🎯

Why? ... Testing gives us a baseline, shows us what’s improving, and helps us programme with purpose instead of guesswork. A test like this tells me how Smithy is pacing, where his strengths are, and what we need to work on next. In HYROX and general performance, knowing your numbers matters because it lets you train smarter, not just harder.

For this one, I’m looking at pacing, output, and how well he can hold effort across the full 1km. With SkiErg work, going out too hard can blow the session or the race, so testing teaches control as well as performance.

If you want your training built around actual data, not random workouts, that’s exactly what I do through 1-2-1 PT and online coaching. If you’re ready to take training seriously, drop me a message and let’s get to work.

At the mecca..

THE BIG NUMBERS ARE OUT! 🎯🚀

Random me vs me moment, despite already running earlier on Wednesday before this🤣

175kg trap bar deadlifts for 3. It was great to test my strength and rally enjoy these mini battles.

Stay strong team💪

Wall balls don’t get easier, you just get better at handling the discomfort... 5 x 20 @ 9kg, every minute on the minute 🫠

Coming straight off a tough strength session, these felt brutal, but that’s the point. The hardest sets are usually the ones that teach you the most

Over the years, training has taught me to stop fighting the struggle and start using it. Because growth lives right there, in the reps you want to drop, the moments you want to slow down, and the discipline to keep moving anyway.
This is the kind of work that builds more than fitness, it builds resilience and that’s what I want to help people develop. If you want to train for more than just looking fit, this is the standard.

3 double days back to back to catch up with training this week. This session was an intervals erg session! Privileged to be able to do this and with those around me pushing me every day.
