Short putts are the most frustrating way to lose shots in your round. Give this drill a try, start converting more short putts and lower your scores!

This drill is called around the world. You need to place 8 tees one club length away from the hole evenly spread out.

Next you need to see how many putts you can hole in a row without missing one.

When you manage to hole all 8 putts in a row without missing move all the tees back one foot and start again.

Repeat this every week and you’ll be holing all your short putts in no time!

Ball striking is a key part of good golf! If you can’t make good contact controlling the ball is almost impossible!

Follow these simple steps to help improve your ball striking and save you shots!

-> Ball position is key. If your ball position is too far forwards you’ll struggle to compress the ball properly. Ensure your ball position is in the centre for 9,8 and 7 iron and slightly ahead for the longer irons.
-> Next you need to ensure you’re shifting your weight ahead of the ball before you make contact. This helps promote a downward hit with ball contact first.
-> Finally and most importantly, DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE GROUND! Hitting down after the ball means hitting the ground so don’t pull away from the ground when coming into the ball!
