Heyyyyy you! I see you listening to that daft voice telling you you can’t practice yoga because you’re not x,y,z… tell that voice to bu**er off and join me at my beginners yoga class next Tuesday evening and I’ll show you that yoga is for all. Including you (and silly voice in head is welcome too as mine will be there but I ignore her all the time)!

Hellloooooo ✌🏼 I thought it was about time I properly introduced myself.

I’m Abi, your pre and postnatal, women’s and kids yoga teacher, and the person behind Bliss Yoga Bath 🧘‍♀️💛

I recently resigned from my full-time corporate career as a Head of Marketing to make more space for the work that feels most meaningful to me: helping women feel stronger, calmer, more connected and more at home in their bodies.

And this is why I might just be the yoga teacher for you…

I don’t really fit the image the Western world has somehow decided a “yoga teacher” should look like. I’m a curvy, big-booby Northern lass who believes yoga is for REAL bodies and REAL life.

My own relationship with yoga has never been about touching my toes or looking good in leggings.

I turned to yoga during a three-year fertility journey before having our beautiful little boy. I leaned on it through motherhood. I used it to support my body and nervous system while dealing with an autoimmune condition, and regular practice became a huge part of my healing journey.

Yoga has held me through some of the biggest transitions of my life.

That’s why the classes I teach are about so much more than poses.

They’re for the woman trying to conceive.
The pregnant woman navigating a changing body.
The new mum finding herself again.
The mum trying to move while her toddler climbs on her. 😂
The woman moving into another chapter of life and wanting to feel strong, grounded and connected to herself.

You do not need to be flexible.
You do not need to be thin.
You do not need expensive activewear.
You absolutely do not need to know what you’re doing.

You just need to come as you are.

My classes are warm, relaxed and very much rooted in real life. Babies cry. Toddlers wander off. Bodies wobble. We laugh. We breathe. We move.

And that, to me, is yoga. 🧘‍♀️

If you’re new here, say hello 👋🏼 I’d genuinely love to know who’s following along and what stage of life you’re in.

Calm • Connect • Bloom 🌿

Yoga is for EVERYBODY. 🧘‍♀️🧡

And I really, truly mean that.

Somewhere along the way, the Western world turned yoga into an aesthetic.

Skinny bodies. Expensive leggings. Impossible poses. Perfect handstands on Instagram.

And honestly? That has very little to do with what yoga actually is.

You do not need to be slim to do yoga.
You do not need to be flexible.
You do not need to be strong.
You do not need to look good in Lycra.
And you definitely don’t need to be able to wrap your legs around your head. 😂

Yoga meets you in your body, exactly where it is today.

Bodies that wobble.
Bodies that have had babies.
Bodies that are ageing and changing.
Bodies that are stiff.
Curvy bodies. Strong bodies. Tired bodies.
Bodies that haven’t exercised for years.

All bodies belong in yoga.

For me, yoga isn’t about making your body fit the pose.

It’s about adapting the practice to fit your body.

It’s breathing. Moving. Resting. Reconnecting. Learning to listen to yourself again.

So if you’ve ever looked at a yoga class and thought, “That’s not for someone like me…”

I want you to know that it absolutely is. 🧡

Come exactly as you are.

No judgement. No perfect poses. No prerequisite flexibility.

Just yoga for real people, in real bodies, living real lives.

Yoga is for everybody. And every body. 🌙✨
