An Important Update on the Liam Jinks Cup:

After a great deal of thought, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel this year’s Liam Jinks Cup.

For the past five years, the tournament has become so much more than a football competition. It has grown into a celebration of inclusive football, welcoming teams from across the country, strengthening our partnership with Special Olympics, and creating unforgettable memories for players, families and volunteers alike.

We are immensely proud of everything the event has become.

This year, however, our club has experienced significant changes within our volunteer team, alongside our Chair taking maternity leave. As a volunteer-led club, we simply don’t have the capacity to deliver the tournament to the high standard that everyone deserves and has come to expect.

The Liam Jinks Cup is far too important to us to do anything less than our very best.

We are already committed to bringing the tournament back next year.

We know this news will be disappointing, and we’re sorry to everyone who was looking forward to taking part. Thank you to every player, family, volunteer, partner organisation and club that has supported the Liam Jinks Cup over the last five years. Your support has made it one of the highlights of the inclusive football calendar, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back next year.
