Successful 2 Open Days, more bowlers have joined us. We are going to have more than 25, so making a team for Monro and CML games is achievable. Roll on the season. We might have another open day later in season.

Sport Wales - 58 community sports clubs supported by the Energy Saving Grant - Sport Wales Each club or project will be using their grant to make environmentally friendly upgrades to their premises.

Ditch lining coming along, should have all ditches cleaned and ready for season by middle next week, depending on weather, then a light scarifing, lawn cut with our Allett Sterling Mower cassettes. Then a spring fertiliser spray with a tonic using our brand new Vitax Evenspray Club Sprayer (from Pitchcare, brilliant company, especially for advice). The sprayer and liquid feeds and Bullet Iron, was bought through a large legacy left to the club from a previous member who sadly recently passed away.

Good news for us, our previous banner sponsors have re-ordered and we are picking up a couple of new ones next week.. We have some spaces left on our internal fence line so if you want to be a business that can help us, the banners (high quality) 2m x 750mm are being sold at £149.00 (no vat), this includes design and print.

There is a banner on our end wall viewable from entrance gate and has been in that position, south facing for over 4 years, still in good condition and not faded.

Our 1st open day is on 6th April (weather permitting) and our second is on 13th April from noon onwards. All welcome to come along and have a 'roll up' just wear a pair of flat soled shoes. The rest we can supply. We are looking for experienced and novice bowlers, male or female. Joining fees £60 (50% of annual membership subscription). We have all the facilities here, plus well maintained grounds and equipment.

Okay, 68 days to go to our 'first open day' on 6th April, and our 'second open day' on 13th April, (2 listed incase rained off). Barry Central, as with other clubs are looking for new members, either novices or experienced, male or female, oldies, middle aged, teenagers. Our club has disabled access ramps and toilets, so all are catered for.
