Climbing a tree might feel like just a bit of fun, but it actually uses a surprising mix of physical and mental skills and comes with some solid benefits too.

It builds grip strength, upper and lower body strength, balance, coordination, and core stability. You also use flexibility, agility, and endurance as you move and hold positions. On top of that, it takes spatial awareness, problem-solving, planning your route, focus, patience, and encourages exploration whilst building good risk awareness to climb safely.

Plus, it’s a great way to get outside, reduce stress, boost confidence, and reconnect with a sense of adventure. Sometimes the simplest activities turn out to be the best for both body and mind.
