GlaxoSmithKline Sports & Social Club Sports and Social Club - Barnard Castle, County Durham The Club has formed many Sections who specialise in areas of specific sporting and social interest.

GlaxoSmithKline Sports and Social Club was founded in 1946 and occupied rented premises in Queen Street until it moved to its present building in 1954. These sections include :

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS

Dear Members,
As some of you may already have heard, the Club was yesterday formally given notice to vacate our current premises by 31st December 2026.
We appreciate that this news may come as a shock and will understandably cause concern and uncertainty amongst our members.
The Club Committee is working extremely hard to engage with the Site to discuss alternative options and to explore and develop all possible avenues for the future of the Club.
At this stage, there are a number of options that need to be fully explored, and we ask all members to please bear with us during this difficult and uncertain time while we work through the situation.
Please be assured that the Committee remains fully committed to the future of the Club and to protecting the interests of our members. We will keep everyone fully informed of developments and progress along the way as soon as we are in a position to do so.
