Quiz night is back at Murrays this Tuesday and the teams are already plotting.

Get a group together, grab a table and play for the prizes. There are complimentary snacks and drinks for the teams on the night, so all you need to bring is someone who knows their capital cities.

Free to enter, no need to book, just turn up and take on the rest of Bargoed.

It's the last Bank Holiday Sunday of the year and we have it sorted. The Breeze Band are live at Murrays from 9pm.

The best Sunday night of the year, because nobody has to be up for work. Bar open, band on, and the whole of Monday to recover.

Sunday lunch at Murrays is now fully booked, but the bar is open all day and everyone is welcome.

Come and join us for the football on the big screens, with Chelsea v Brighton, Leeds v Brentford and Sunderland v Fulham from 2pm, then Man Utd v Ipswich at 4:30pm.

Then stay with us tonight for live entertainment from The Breeze. Cold pints, good company and a proper Sunday in Bargoed.

The world lost Dolly Parton this week.

Eighty years old, sixty of them writing songs that ended up in everybody's life somewhere. A wedding, a kitchen radio, a long drive, a night out that went on too long. Most of us didn't have to try to know the words.

So this weekend we're raising a glass to her. Tribute cocktails and drinks are on all weekend at Murray's in Bargoed. Come and have one with us.

And we'll do it properly in February. Dolly Does It, Friday 5th February, with Jo Fry performing the songs everyone knows, 7pm through to midnight. Tickets are on sale now, link in the comments.

Heavyweight world title boxing on the big screens at Murrays Tonight. Moses Itauma faces Filip Hrgovic for the vacant IBF belt, with the main event from around 10pm.

Itauma is 21, unbeaten, and one win away from becoming the youngest heavyweight world champion since Mike Tyson. Hrgovic has only lost once in his career and he is not here to make up the numbers.

Big screens, full bar, proper atmosphere.

No work Monday, so no reason to rush off. Food served earlier in the evening and the bar is open late.
