The biggest lie women over 40 tell themselves isn’t “I’m too old.”

It’s this:

“I’ll focus on me when everyone else is sorted.”

That day never comes.

Someone always needs you.
Work gets busy.
Grandchildren arrive.
The house needs attention.
Life keeps asking for more.

Meanwhile, your body keeps paying the price.

Every year you ignore your strength, you lose a little more of it.
Every year you avoid lifting weights, getting up off the floor gets harder.
Every year you put yourself last, you’re teaching everyone else that your health comes last too.

Here’s the truth nobody likes hearing:

You don’t lack time.

You lack boundaries.

Because if your doctor told you that you had six months to change or face serious consequences, you’d find the time.

Your health isn’t waiting for your calendar to clear.

It’s quietly adapting to every decision you make today.

Stop waiting for permission to put yourself first.

The people who love you don’t need you exhausted.

They need you strong.

Be honest ladies what story have you been telling yourself?

One of the biggest things I’ve learned from coaching women is this…

Most people don’t struggle because they don’t know what to eat.

They struggle because they don’t realise what’s influencing their choices.

We like to think our decisions are logical.

But so many happen on autopilot.

You reach for chocolate because you’re mentally drained.

You skip lunch because everyone else comes first.

You snack while making dinner because you’ve barely stopped all day.

You clear the kids’ plates because you don’t want food to go to waste.

Food is rarely just about food.

It’s often a reflection of stress, habits, emotions, routines, lack of sleep, or simply doing what you’ve always done.

That’s why awareness is so powerful.

Not because it changes anything overnight…

But because you can’t change a pattern you haven’t noticed.

The women who make lasting progress aren’t always the most disciplined.

They’re usually the ones who become curious before they become critical.

Instead of asking,
“Why did I do that again?”

They start asking,
“What was happening just before I made that choice?”

That small shift changes everything.

Because awareness creates choice.

And choice is where lasting change begins.

💬 What’s one eating habit you’ve become more aware of over the last year?

A hard truth?

Most women don’t have a fat loss problem.

They have a consistency problem.

Not because they’re lazy or lack willpower.

But because they’re trying to follow plans designed for people with unlimited time, energy and perfect lives.

Real life really looks more like,

School runs.
Work stress.
Hormones.
Poor sleep.
Looking after everyone else first.

That’s why I coach women to focus on what moves the needle most.

Strength training.
Protein.
Steps.
Recovery.

Master those and everything else gets easier.

What’s one thing from this carousel you’re committing to this week?

If you want to lose a bit of weight before summer, it doesn’t need to be complicated.

It just needs to be consistent.

Most people don’t fail because they don’t know what to do…

they fail because they try to do everything at once, for about 4 days and then life kicks in.

So start simple 🙌

The basics you can actually stick to → that’s what matters.

No detox, extremes or “perfect weeks” needed .

Just boring habits done often enough that they start to work.

If you read the carousel, pick 1–2 things and actually focus on them this week.

Not all of them at once.

Just a couple you’ll actually do.

That’s where results actually come from.

If you want help putting it together properly, that’s exactly what I do inside SculptHer with structure, support, and someone keeping you on track when motivation drops.

Comment SCULPTHER and I’ll send you the details.

You know what breaks my heart?

The number of women waiting to live their life until they’ve lost weight.

“I’ll wear that when I’m slimmer.”

“I’ll go on the beach when I’m more confident.”

“I’ll get in the photo when I’ve toned up.”

“I’ll book the holiday when I feel better about myself.”

Months become years.

Years become decades.

And before they know it, they’ve spent half their life waiting.

Because they believed they had to earn it.

Here’s what I’ve learned coaching women:

The women who become truly confident aren’t the ones with perfect bodies.

They’re the ones who stop putting their life on hold.

They start strength training.
They start showing up for themselves.
And slowly, they stop abandoning themselves.

Confidence doesn’t arrive when the body changes.

It grows when you start keeping promises to yourself.

If you’re waiting to live your life until you reach a certain weight…

Don’t.

Wear the bikini.
Get in the photo.
Book the holiday.
Go to the beach.

Confidence isn’t something you wait for.

It’s something you practice.

If you’ve been feeling more anxious, irritable, emotional, exhausted, or struggling with brain fog lately, you might assume it’s just stress, hormones, or getting older.

And yes, those things matter.

But there’s another piece of the puzzle that’s often overlooked…

Your gut.

Your gut and brain are constantly communicating.

So when your gut health suffers, it can affect far more than digestion.

You may notice:

❌ Lower mood
❌ Increased anxiety
❌ Poor sleep
❌ Low energy
❌ Brain fog
❌ Feeling flat or overwhelmed

Now, depression and anxiety are complex and are never caused by one thing alone.

But research is showing that gut health plays an important role in inflammation, nutrient absorption, hormone regulation, and overall mental wellbeing.

The good news?

Supporting your gut doesn’t have to be complicated.

🥦 Eat more fibre
🍓 Include a variety of fruits and vegetables
🥣 Add fermented foods
🍗 Prioritise protein
🚶‍♀️ Move daily
😴 Protect your sleep
🧘‍♀️ Manage stress where possible

Your body isn’t working against you.

Sometimes it’s simply asking for support.

Small daily habits can have a bigger impact than you realise. 💚

Have you ever noticed a connection between your gut health and your mood?

Most women don’t need more intensity.

They just need something they can actually stick to 🤍

Incline walking works because it’s simple:
you set the speed, set the incline, and just get it done.

No overthinking , no burnout and no starting over every Monday again .

It works because it lets you build consistent calorie output without running yourself into the ground.

But most people either go too easy to see change or go too hard to stay consistent.

The sweet spot is that controlled effort you can repeat week after week.

That’s what actually changes your body over time.

If you want a simple weekly structure that pulls all this together properly, comment WALK 👇
