HBGC Past Captains day . Sixteen past captains competed for the Reid cup and Jean Blair cup on a beautiful afternoon . The winners for nine holes was Mary Field, runner up Mary Gregg. Winner of Reid cup for 18 holes was Barbara Edwards with a bb9 than Irene Aston .

Congratulations to everyone who participated in our 2026 Captain's Prize for Juniors competitions. Winner of 18 hole competitions Div 1 William Meharg, Div 2 Joshua Woodward. Runners up Noah McCracken & Grace Sheilds. To Flynn Rossetto who won the 9 hole competition and also the winners of the Short 9 and Short 4 competitions. Thank you to Mervyn Davison (Junior Convenor) and Catherine Gallagher for organising and to all parents who support this important part of our Club.

President Terry Cromey held his Presidents day on Saturday, shotgun start. Great day had by all well done to all the prize winners especially Captain Sam Gallaher with a fabulous score of 47

Lady Captain held her charity quiz on Friday night. Great turn out thank you everyone for coming along and taking part. A huge thank you to our quiz master and his wonderful assistant. We raised a whooping £1500 for The Hospice, thank you.

Great nights golf the Board, Operational committee, Green staff and Bar staff took on the juniors in the Alan Foster putter and lost 7-3. Thank you to Dianne Foster, Mervyn and The Jolly Fryer for organising and supplying the fabulous food after.

Helen’s Bay Juniors have a fabulous day down at Hermitage for their yearly competition. Thank you to everyone who helped and to Hermitage for hosting.
