This weekend saw the Carnalea Club Championship take place, with our members battling it out over two rounds for the coveted title of Club Champion.

Congratulations to Darren Edgar, who has successfully defended his Club Championship! 👏⛳️

Darren carded a fantastic two-round total of 145 to take the title for the second consecutive year. 🏆🏆

What a fantastic Captain’s Day we had yesterday! Despite the tough conditions, there was some brilliant golf on show (Stu confirmed the greens were running at 12.8 on the stimpmeter ⚡️😳)

A huge congratulations to Jonny Hill, who took the honours with an excellent 40 points! 👏🏆

A massive thank you to our Captain, Lindsay Cockcroft, for putting on such a brilliant day and making it one to remember! 👏

⛳️ New Ball Washers Installed ⛳️

We are delighted to announce that brand new ball washers have now been installed on the 9th, 11th and 15th holes at Carnalea GC.

These have been very kindly donated by our Captain, Lindsay Cockcroft, pictured with head greenkeeper Stuart Glover following the installation.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Mr Captain for his generosity and continued support of the club 🤩

Lady Captain’s Day 2026 – Results ⛳️🏌🏼‍♀️

What a wonderful day we had for our Lady Captain’s Day yesterday!

The ladies were treated to fantastic weather and excellent playing conditions, making the most of the last spell of sunshine before today’s rain and winds arrived.

We would like to wish our Lady Captain, Mrs Joanne Williamson, every success on her Lady Captain’s Day today ✨

Lady Captain’s Day is always one of the highlights of the golfing calendar, bringing members together to enjoy great golf, friendship and celebration. We hope everyone taking part enjoys a fantastic day on the course, whether it be those taking part in the Lady Captains competition or the Gents 9 Hole Competition 🍀

Ladies taking part in the competition are invited to enjoy sandwiches with tea or coffee, available between 12:30pm and 2:30pm.

Following the golf, members and guests are warmly invited to continue the celebrations in the clubhouse, where Alibi will be providing live music from 9:00pm 🎶

🏆 President’s Day 2026 🏆

Last night we had our prize giving following the President’s Day competition, hosted by our President, Raymond Burton.

We had some fantastic weather (on Saturday anyway) and a packed clubhouse last night for what was a great night!

Well done to all of the prize winners on the day, in particular, Colin Crozier, who was the overall winner of the men’s prize, and to our Lady Captain, Joanne Williamson, who was crowned Ladies’ Overall winner.

Thank you to our President Raymond Burton for a superb weekend!
