🎾 🏊 Skill Spotlight: Ball Skills 🏊🎾
Throwing, catching and chasing a ball in the water is much more than just a fun game!
Ball activities help children:
💙 Improve hand-eye coordination
💙 Develop balance and body control
💙 Build confidence moving around the pool
💙 Encourage swimming with one hand while using the other
💙 Learn important water safety and movement skills through play
The best part? Children are having so much fun, they don’t even realise how much they’re learning! 🌊😊
Kick n Splash
We are a well established swim school that has small teaching groups with teachers in the water. We are now taking bookings for Buckland.
Kicknsplash is a swim school that has small teaching groups with our teachers and helpers in the water with the little ones at all times. We teach on a Saturday at Bloxham and Abingdon School Pools and Buckland Memorial Hall Swimimg Pool everyday. Buckland will open in Summer 2017 once or new refurbishment is complete.

⁉️Fun Fact Friday⁉️
Did you know? Swimming helps develop coordination because your arms, legs and breathing all work together. 🤩
🚀 Skill Spotlight: Streamline
Our “rocket” position teaches children to keep their body long and straight. A good streamline helps them glide further through the water and makes every stroke more efficient.

⁉️Fun Fact Friday⁉️
Did you know? Frogs are excellent swimmers because of their powerful back legs—just like a good breaststroke kick! 🐸
Game Idea: Shark Attack 🦈🤩
Our children LOVE playing this game! One or two children wear a shark fin floaty and try and catch the other swimmers who are little fish! It’s a great game to get children moving and swimming while making it fun! 💦
⭐ Skill Spotlight: Star Float ⭐️
Floating is one of the most valuable life-saving skills. Learning to relax and float on the front and back helps children stay calm, conserve energy, and build confidence in the water.

☀️💦 Make the most of your paddling pool this summer! 💦☀️
A paddling pool is a great place for little ones to build confidence between swimming lessons. Keep it fun and pressure-free by trying simple activities like:
🐠 Blowing bubbles in the water
⭐ Floating on their back with your support
💦 Pouring water over their shoulders and head
🦶 Kicking their legs while holding the side
🧸 Reaching for floating toys
🎶 Singing their favourite swimming songs
Remember, the goal isn’t to teach them to swim—it’s to help them feel happy, relaxed, and confident in the water.
⚠️ Always supervise children closely. A paddling pool is never a substitute for active adult supervision.
Happy splashing! 💙🌊

⁉️Fun Fact Friday⁉️
Did you know? Babies are born with a natural reflex that can help them hold their breath underwater—but this fades as they grow, which is why swimming lessons are so important. 🐠
