Experienced Groom / Yard Manager

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and enthusiastic person to join our friendly team on a full-time basis.

This role would suit either an experienced groom or someone looking to step into a Yard Manager position, depending on experience.

We are a small, professional dressage yard based just outside Banbury, Oxfordshire. We pride ourselves on maintaining high standards of horse care and are looking for someone who shares the same approach.

The role includes:
- Daily care of our competition horses and liveries
- Mucking out, turning out, bringing in and all general yard duties
- Grooming, tacking up and preparing horses for training and competitions
- Keeping the yard clean, organised and running efficiently
- Helping to oversee the day-to-day running of the yard

We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with competition horses
- Is organised, reliable and hardworking
- Takes pride in maintaining high standards of horse care
- Can turn horses out to a high standard, including clipping and plaiting (preferred but not essential)
- Can work independently and use their own initiative
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Has a positive attitude

Join us for a fun and educational polework clinic by Fancy footwork poles and grids at Babington Dressage, Williamscot on Sunday 14th June!

What to Expect:
• 2-3 riders per session
• 45 minutes per slot
• £40 per rider (including arena hire charge)
• Tailored exercises to suit all levels – perfect for improving suppleness, rhythm, and rider accuracy.

Weather permitting, we’ll enjoy the spacious 20x60 outdoor arena. If not, we’ll move into the lovely 20x40 indoor arena.

Weekend Freelance Groom Wanted

We are looking for reliable freelance cover for Saturdays and Sundays at our friendly yard. This would be on a regular basis, although we are flexible with it not being every weekend.

Applicants must:
• Be reliable and confident working independently
• Have experience handling competition horses
• Be able to take sole charge of the yard

Duties include:
• General yard duties
• Mucking out, turnout, poo picking, feeding, tidying, etc.
• No ridden work required

Lovely yard and facilities based in North Oxfordshire (near Banbury)

Freelance Help Wanted

We are looking for regular freelance help on a Saturday 7:30-4:30.

TACKLEY HORSE SHOW- 26 APRIL – DRESSAGE ON GRASS

George will be judging at Tackley Horse Show and it’s set to be a really friendly, no-stress day.

The ground is looking fantastic and entries are still open online, so do come along and join us.

It’s a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Ideal for young horses, first timers, or anyone wanting a bigger show feel without the pressure.

The dressage arena is set away in a quiet spot.

There will also be plenty going on – BBQ, homemade cakes, and even a dog show. Bring the family and make a day of it.
