I help people who feel stuck/unfulfilled to overcome the challenges they face

30/03/2026

How often do you actually look up?

I mean really look up – at the sky, the clouds, the sheer scale of it all. I know on the duller days, it might not be that appealing, but bear with me.

There's something that happens when you do. The noise quiets. The list of urgent things becomes a little less urgent. Your perspective shifts, and you remember, just for a moment, that you're part of something much bigger.

A client described this to me recently. She'd been feeling “stuck in the weeds” and didn't know how to climb out. Then on her morning walk, she looked up. She shifted her viewpoint from looking down, where her view was limited, to looking up, where the opportunities felt infinite.

“Everything felt more positive, like it was all going to be OK. I could breathe again.”

She hadn't worked through a framework. She hadn't made a plan. She'd just looked up at the sky and remembered her place in the world.

That’s a glimmer: one of those small, quiet moments that restore you rather than deplete you. They don't announce themselves. You have to be still enough to catch them.

And that’s what coaching is about for me. Not the tools or the models. But helping people slow down enough to notice what they already know. To reconnect with what matters to them and who they already are at their core. To remember that they’re not the centre of the universe, but a small part of something much bigger.

It’s also why I’m creating space for more of these moments in my upcoming retreat. Time away from the noise, in nature, to pause, breathe, and quite literally look up again.

How often do you look up? And what do you notice when you do?

If you’re considering a retreat, it matters who’s holding the space.

So I wanted to share a bit more about me and why I created Return to Self.

I’ve spent years working with people in high-pressure environments. People who are capable, committed, and often carrying a lot.

What I’ve seen, time and again, is how easy it is to keep going… without ever really stopping to reset.

This retreat is for those people.

The ones who:
• are used to being “the strong one”
• keep delivering, even when they’re tired
• rarely give themselves uninterrupted space

The spaces I hold are:
• gentle
• grounded
• unpressured

You don’t need to arrive as a “better version” of yourself.

You don’t need prior experience with retreats, breathwork, yoga or anything else.

You just need to be willing to give yourself some space.

My intention is simple:
That you leave feeling calmer, clearer, and more connected to yourself than when you arrived.

This work is deeply important to me, and I care a lot about creating a space where people feel safe, supported, and able to truly switch off.

When did you last do something that was just for you?

Not for work. Not for the family, the inbox, the endless list. Just genuinely, quietly for yourself.

Return to Self is a four-day retreat in the Cotswolds: breathwork, meditation, gentle movement, creativity, long walks, great food. All of it invitational. You take what you need and leave the rest.

You might arrive not quite knowing what you need. That's exactly why I created the space. So you can figure it out once you're there.

If you work in a role where you're constantly giving, this is four days of receiving.

“I don’t know what’s next, and that’s the hardest part.”

That’s what people really mean when they are going through change and are not sure what to do.

It’s that feeling of limbo.
You can’t go back to how things were, but you can’t yet see what comes next.

What I’ve noticed working with people through career changes, restructures, and big life shifts is:

The discomfort rarely comes from not having a plan.
It comes from losing touch with yourself in the middle of it all.

When one part of life feels shaky, it’s easy to fixate on it. Work becomes everything.

And the parts of life that feel solid, or give life meaning: relationships, health, the things that matter most, quietly get forgotten.

The thing to remember is you are not starting from zero. You never are.

One of the first things I do with clients navigating change is help them zoom out and look at the whole picture.

· Where are they actually thriving?
· What needs attention?
· And underneath it all, what really matters to them?

Because when you’re clear on your values, or what is driving you, limbo becomes less paralysing.

You might not know what’s coming next, but you know who you want to be while you navigate it, and that matters more than any plan.

I’ve written about this in my latest blog, and included a Wheel of Life tool to help you come back to what is important to you. Link in the comments.

And if you’re craving a proper pause to reconnect with what matters, I’m running a small retreat next month. Beautiful setting, small group, plenty of space to breathe and reflect. Further details in the blog link.

I’d love to hear — how do you cope when life feels in-between?

Honestly, how long has it been since you properly rested? Not collapsed. Actually rested.

There's a light over the Cotswolds hills that makes everything go quiet.

That's where this retreat begins.

Return to Self is a weekend for people who give a lot, to their work, their families, their ambitions, and somewhere along the way have quietly lost themselves in it.

No fixing. No optimising. Just good air, a small fire, woodland walks, and real time to breathe.

I created this because I needed it first. And I know I'm not the only one.

Joining us in Long Compton, Cotswolds from 24–27 April 2026.

Places are limited and I've put everything into making it special.
If something in you just exhaled reading this, that's your sign.

Your body knows something your brain has been trying to figure out for months. 💡

I used to dismiss breathing exercises. No time. No point.

Then I realised I'd been so much in my head, I'd forgotten I had a body - one quietly holding everything my rational mind couldn't process.

When I started listening to it, I found information thinking alone couldn't give me.

I tried breathing exercises during one of the most stressful weeks of my life. Haven't stopped since.

Uncertainty doesn't just live in your head. It lives in your body.

The tight chest. The clenched jaw. The shoulders at your ears.

Right now, a lot of us are carrying that. Life feeling a bit relentless, an unpredictable world, that low hum of 'what if?'

Before you refresh your inbox again, try this:

→ Unclench your jaw
→ Drop your shoulders
→ Breathe in slowly. Exhale longer than you inhaled.

Five times.

It won't fix what's uncertain. But it puts you back in the driving seat. Present and choosing how you respond, rather than just reacting. 🌱

We've had about three hours of daylight this week and the rain hasn't stopped.

By April, the Cotswolds will look like this.

I didn't create the Return to Self Retreat because people are burnt out.

I created it because so many capable, thoughtful people I work with are quietly tired of holding it all together.

On paper, things are going well.
They're functioning. Delivering. Leading.
But underneath, there's often a disconnect: from themselves, from their bodies, from what actually matters.

The work itself isn't the problem.
It's that there's been no space between the work and the person doing it.

Return to Self is my response to that.
Not to improve yourself.
Not to add another layer of effort.
Just to slow down enough to hear what's already there.

Sometimes, that's all that's needed.

What helps you know when it's time to stop? 🤍
