🔴 Senior Hurling ⚪️

Our senior hurlers kicked off their Intermediate Championship campaign today in Ballyvarley against a strong Newry Shamrocks side.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be our day, with the game finishing 3-15 to 0-15.

A disappointing result, but plenty to build on as the lads look ahead to the next round.

Well done to our U12 Camogs, the St. Mary’s girls, who were invited to Warrenpoint this afternoon for a fantastic mini blitz.

The girls played games against Killeavy and two Warrenpoint teams, putting in a brilliant performance throughout. It was a great opportunity for the girls to get plenty of quality game time and showcase their skills. 👏

🔴 All County Hurling Blitz ⚪️

A huge thank you to Warrenpoint for hosting September’s All County Hurling Blitz this morning.

It was fantastic to see the pitches full of young hurlers from across the county, showcasing their skills and enjoying plenty of great games. 👏

Our U8s and U10s did absolutely fantastic, taking part in some brilliant, competitive games against teams from all over Down.

Plenty of great hurling, lots of fun and some very proud coaches and parents! 🔴⚪️

Well done to all our young hurlers 👏🏻

📣 SCÓR NA nÓG QUIZ 2026 📣

Are you a young person who loves GAA, Irish history, Irish geography, Irish culture, sport and general knowledge? 🇮🇪🧠

We’re looking for interested young people from P5 right up to 17 years old to get involved in this year’s Scór na nÓg Quiz! We are hoping to enter numerous teams so all levels are welcome.

Under the guidance of our very committed and dedicated mentor Conal McNally, we’re hoping to go for an incredible 4th County Title in a row! 🏆🏆🏆🏆

And we’ve had some fantastic success in recent years, with our quiz team reaching the All-Ireland Final two years in a row! 🇮🇪👏

If you enjoy a challenge, love learning new things and think you could be part of our teams, we’d love to hear from you!

The boys and girls have worked so hard every week, developing their skills while having lots of fun along the way. It was also great to introduce some training games and let everyone enjoy putting their skills into practice. ⭐

A huge well done to every one of them — you should all be very proud of yourselves! 👏❤️

A big thank you to all the parents for bringing the boys and girls along each week and supporting them throughout the season. 🥰

Now for plenty of practice over the winter and we’ll see you all back in the spring!

Well done to our own Rose, Lucy and Caitlin, who proudly represented Aghaderg at the U15 PDP Festival of Football with the Down LGFA Personal Development Squad. 👏

The girls pulled on the red and black jersey with pride and took on both Armagh and Cavan in a fantastic day of football.

A brilliant experience for the three girls and another great opportunity to develop, learn and represent their county.

🔴 U12 LGFA ⚪️

The girls played their first Division 1 game today against a fantastic Kilcoo side and were absolutely phenomenal.

With a stretched squad and no subs available, they knew it was going to be a huge challenge — but they battled, worked and fought for each other from the first whistle.

They took a deserved lead in the second half with some outstanding football. 👏 The final 10 minutes proved a step too far as tired legs and injuries took their toll, with Kilcoo finding some late scores to edge ahead.

The girls had two late chances to get back into it, but unfortunately it just wasn’t to be. The result may not have gone our way, but what a performance! 💪

Two brilliant teams going toe-to-toe in a fantastic game of football. The courage, resilience and determination shown by our girls was incredible.

Be proud girls — you were superb today! ❤️🤍👏
