Make a date for summer golf at Sickleholme.

Our Summer Pairs Open takes place on Friday 16th July 2027, and entries are open to men’s, ladies’ and mixed pairs in any combination.

Play Better Ball Stableford in the heart of the Peak District, with a bacon sandwich and tea or coffee before your round and a complimentary drink afterwards. Entry is £70 per pair, with tee times from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

One event to go in the Men’s Order of Merit!

Today’s competition is the October Mixed Medal. Yes, we know it’s still September… but it’s the final chance to pick up points in this year’s Men’s Order of Merit.

Darren Drabble leads the way on 87 points, with Lee Robinson on 75 and Nigel Presswood on 73. Here are the standings heading into the final event.

A little inspiration for those days when you’re not quite on your game…

David Walsh’s Sunday Times article on Great Britain & Ireland’s Walker Cup comeback offered a reminder we can all take onto the course:

“Confidence is a choice, not a feeling.”

We’ve all had rounds where the swing feels awkward, the putts won’t drop and nothing quite goes to plan. A poor start doesn’t have to decide how the rest of your day unfolds.

Take a breath, focus on the next shot and give yourself a chance. And remember to enjoy the company along the way — there’s more to a day’s golf than the number on your card.

Back in action this Sunday!

Fresh from his fantastic victory in the Yorkshire Matchplay Championship, Oliver Smith is back on the course this weekend, competing in the Sheffield Amateur Championship semi-final.

Oli faces Tom Stanley of Hickleton Golf Club at Lindrick Golf Club, teeing off at 9:00am on Sunday.

Another big match for Oli, and everyone at Sickleholme will be right behind him.

Oliver Smith is through to the Yorkshire Matchplay Final!

A fantastic 3 & 1 victory over Dylan Shaw-Radford of Huddersfield Golf Club in this morning’s semi-final sees Oli book his place in the final.

He will now face Patrick Young of Northcliffe Golf Club for the title.

A brilliant achievement already — one more match to go!

It’s Ditchfield Final day at Sickleholme!

The final brings together pairs who have qualified through our monthly Sunday Fourball Better Ball Medals throughout the season.

Today, they will go head-to-head in the final for the chance to be crowned the 2026 Ditchfield champions.
