𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲 💜

Coach Eilis .coaching_ is officially now full-time with us.

Since joining us a year ago, she’s brought energy, enthusiasm, and a real dedication to learning and becoming the kind of coach who changes lives. Watching that growth has been one of the best parts of this year, and we’re so proud of her.

If you’ve trained with Eilis, you already know what this means. The way she remembers what’s going on in your life outside the gym, the accountability that gets you through the door on the days you didn’t want to come, the energy she brings to every session, that’s about to be even more woven into the fabric of this place.

It also says something bigger about where Forge is headed. Ballymoney has now grown to over 220 members, and growth for us has never been about the number itself. It’s about being able to give more women around the North Coast the space and support they deserve to improve all aspects of their health and wellbeing, personalised for all ages, and all abilities.

As we look toward what’s next for Forge, including a second location on the horizon, Ballymoney continues to set the standard for Female coaching, not just in NI, but as the UK’s official number female gym.

𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁

Laughs, nibbles and a serious amount of competitive spirit at the gym! Over 26 members came along and turned the studio into games central for the evening.

We had headbands on for the guessing game, brains working overtime for Herd Mentality (turns out thinking like the herd is harder than it sounds ), quickfire rounds of Six Second Scribbles, plus Uno, Connect 4, Cluedo, Monopoly and more, all on the go around the tables.

This is one of our monthly free community events, a chance to make friends, meet new faces and enjoy some much-needed female company. Because sometimes the best thing for your wellbeing isn't a session on the gym floor, it's a room full of women who get it, laughing over a game of Herd Mentality with a coffee in hand.

Add in some well-earned treats, protein crisps and vitamin drinks, and it made for the perfect relaxed night with our Forge family.

Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a good laugh.

Up next on the community calendar... we're taking over 20 members to Powerhouse Padel in Coleraine to try our hand (and racket) at padel! No experience needed, just a new sport, a good laugh, and more of that Forge female company. And the best bit?

Their courts are purple. Basically fate. 💜

𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗼𝘆 𝗛𝘆𝗿𝗼𝘅

What a weekend for Forge Female Fitness at the Dunloy Hyrox!

Mel & Zara and JoJo & Heather raced as pairs to take on a full Hyrox, and smashed it, crossing the line with brand new PB's and times well inside what they'd estimated.

But the times only tell half the story. What made us proudest was watching how they raced: full effort, full grace, cheering on every competitor who crossed their path and throwing out a "well done" to anyone within earshot.

That's Forge in a nutshell, hard work and kindness, side by side.

Huge thanks to the family and friends who came out to support on the day, your energy on that finish line makes all the difference.

Proud doesn't even cover it.

𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗮 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗵

What an afternoon! Over 80 Forge members, friends and family packed out our very own private screening at Portrush Playhouse for Aladdin Live Action, and it was everything we hoped it would be.

From our smallest members right up to the grandparents, everyone came together for popcorn, laughter and a little movie magic. Because that's what Forge has always been about, it was never just a gym. It's a family. And family days like this are exactly why.

Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a special one, and to the team at the Portrush Playhouse.

𝟮𝗹𝗯𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲. 𝗕𝗨𝗧 𝟭𝟬𝗹𝗯𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲.

These are the results of one of our recent 6 Week Jumpstart members and they will blow your mind!

If she'd only weighed herself, she'd might been disappointed in the progress over 6 weeks. However we don't use scales, we use an InBody 270, the ultimate technology to track health progress.

For anyone who's new here, our InBody 270 is our £6,000 body composition scanner, the gold standard of tracking progress in your health. In under a minute it breaks your weight down into what it's actually made of: muscle, fat, bones, protein, and water, right down to each arm and leg. It's the same tech used by physios and elite sports teams, and every one of our members has access to this.

We use it at the start and end of every single 6 Week Jumpstart too, so you never have to guess if you've made progress, you have proof!

Because progress isn't just about losing weight on a scale. It's about understanding what your body is actually made of.

Here's what it showed for one of our Jumpstart members after 6 weeks:

A theme comes up again and again in these messages, and this week it was hard to miss. See if you can spot it by the end...

We collect feedback from our members every week so we can keep improving their experience, and this week's messages all pointed to the same thing.

Let's take a look at just a few of those messages this week...

One member said it's the hard work, the great craic and the friendship from the other ladies and coaches that's kept her coming back, and that Forge hasn't disappointed

Another said it's totally changed her everyday life, mind and body, and that she's achieving things she didn't believe she could before joining

A member shared a long list of wins, from lifting heavier without shoulder pain to crossing her legs on the floor again after being scared stiff of falling just three months ago

The same member said she's not as concerned about a number on the scale anymore, she's healthier, stronger, happier, and proud of herself

One member, away on holiday, said her biggest win was being more active and having more energy, even out of her normal routine

That theme? It's never really about the number on the scale. It's mobility back, energy up, confidence returned, and a room full of women who show up for each other every step of the way.

𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝟭𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆

This week marks the 10th anniversary of Forge.

It started as Forge Personal Training in 2016, after I had lost 160lbs in 12 months, quit my web design job and took a leap of faith. I coached men and women at the back of my mums house.

Post Covid we pivoted to female only, and then outgrew our original space, in 2023 we moved to Unit 5 here in Taggart's yard and outgrew it within 2.5 years, and here we are today in our beautiful forever home in Unit 7.

The 10 years has been filled with incredible highs but my lowest lows as well, this growth does not come without costs, but building Forge has changed me for the best, in ways I may never comprehend.

It is my burning passion, it runs through my blood, and it consumes my brain 24/7. I unashamedly adore every inch of what Forge is.

To my amazing team, to our amazing members, thank you for making this a special place, a place that transcends a traditional gym and has become so much more, for every one of us who is a part of it

𝟭𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲

2016: This was me starting to clear a room for the original Forge Personal Training at the back of my mums house. After losing 160lbs in 12 months through sheer determination and education, I had nothing but a passion for health and a desire to help other women transform their lives the way I'd transformed mine.

2026: Our custom-built 1,200 square foot studio. The official UK Ladies Gym of the Year. Over 180 members. The highest-rated female coaching team in the UK, and 14 national and local health, fitness and business awards.

This week, The Forge turns 10.

It's been a wild ride, but every step, from that tiny back room to where we stand today, has been worth it.

If you're out there building your dream, here's what 10 years has taught me: the best things in life take time. I didn't lose 160lbs overnight, and we didn't build this overnight either. It happens rep by rep, day by day, brick by brick. Don't rush it. Don't give up on it. It is SO worth the effort.

To every woman who's walked through our doors, whether in that tiny back room or our new home, thank you. You didn't just support a business. You built a community.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲.

None of these photos are really about a workout. They're about women who walked through our doors, some nervous, some unsure, some convinced the gym "wasn't for them", and found so much more than fitness.

They found friendships they never expected. Training partners who became best mates. A place where you're cheered on whether it's your first session or your five hundredth.

They found out they could do things they never thought possible. Built a belief in themselves and in their body they never had before.

And somewhere along the way, they found a bit of themselves too, confidence that doesn't stay in the gym, but follows you out the door and into the rest of your life.

From your 20s to your 80s (our oldest member is 89) and beyond, every woman here belongs. That's not something we wrote on a wall, it's something this community proves every single day.

𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

What a day!

10 pairs. 10 workouts. One incredible community.

At the weekend we watched members of ALL abilities, aged 25 to 65, throw down side by side, rowing, skiing, sled pushes, tyre flips and everything in between. Over 10 workouts every single pair gave it absolutely everything.

And because we’re all about balance around here… we finished the day the only way we know how: nibbles, drinks and a well-earned donut for everyone 🍩
