MATCH REPORT | BSML DIVISION 3

Randalstown Ramblers 2 🆚 1 Twin Village FC

A disappointing result, but plenty of positives to take from the performance.

Anthony Brown put us ahead on 32 minutes from a Jon Wells corner, before Lewis Clewer produced a great save to keep us in front as we went into half-time 1-0 up.

Ramblers equalised shortly after the break before eventually finding the winner late on. We had chances of our own to get back into the game, while Ramblers also missed from the penalty spot.

We pushed right until the end but unfortunately couldn’t find the equaliser…

First win of the new season for the Village this morning!

Proud of the lads, some really nice football played throughout the game, especially in the first half, with Mark Kilpatrick giving us the lead on 38 minutes with a lovely finish after being found by Harry Magill who grabbed the assist.

Second half we stayed organised, worked hard for each other and did what we needed to do to see out the 1-0 win. 💪🏼

Defeat for the Village tonight in our midweek league fixture.

Can’t fault the lads, gave their all from start to finish tonight, but it just wasn’t to be. Frustrating start to the season, but we’re only starting!

A big mention for 17-year-old Zac Russell, who played the full 90 minutes on his first competitive start for the club, and 16-year-old Adam Craig, who came off the bench to make his competitive debut. Both lads impressed 💪🏼

Fair play to the Ballycastle lads travelling down to Ballymena midweek. All the best for the season lads 🤝🏼 Until next time.
