Ballymena Bears SEN tag rugby starts back for the 26/27 season on Sunday 6th September, 10am to 11am.

If you’re aged 7 or over to 40+ with a learning disability why not come and give it a try! Even just come and watch for the first visit to get a sense of what it’s like, it would be great to meet you.

If you’re 15+ and interested in helping/volunteering/coaching we would love to see you too. No previous rugby coaching experience required* just a sense of fun!

(*you will be expected to go through AccessNI and Safeguarding procedures)

Great start back on Sunday concluding with the presentation of trophies to Olaf and Thomas this years’ Bears Race Round Ireland winners.

2026 and with the start of the New Year we began another virtual Bears Race Round Ireland.
The twist this year was that it was a chance for individual Bears to get their name on the trophy. Limited to 10 days the race began in earnest with ten players taking up the challenge, each completing fantastic physical feats to lay claim to the trophy. Over the race days they ran, sledged, bounced, skied and swam (amongst other activities) and aided on the final day with a boost from coach activity, as a collective they clocked up over 1,000km.
A close race in the end with a tie for 1st place between Olaf and Thomas, both worthy winners! but a truly fantastic effort from everyone who took part 😃🐻🏉🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️🥇🥈🥉☘️Ballymena RFC Ballymena RFC Women & Girls Love Ballymena
