Muckamore Company of Archers Archery Muckamore Company of Archers is an all ability, family orientated club with it's own Junior Section for children over the age of 10.

We run have-a-go's and beginners courses throughout the year subject to demand. We are also proud to have a club where all feel welcome and the craic is as important as hitting those golds!! We are open indoors 7 days a week during winter. During the summer we shoot outdoors subject to availability of our outdoor venue. Our indoor club - The Barn - is located just outside Doagh and our outdoor venue is at Ballyclare Rugby Club. ❤️ Des Heading Memorial Weekend 2026 ❤️

As many of us know, Des Heading sadly passed away in 2025.

Des was one of those familiar, friendly faces that you would see throughout the competition calendar, at club nights and around the archery community. He was someone who always seemed to have a smile, a story or a few words to share, and his presence became a part of what made our archery community so special.

Although Des is no longer with us, his memory certainly is.

Last year, we held our first Des Heading Memorial Weekend, and we are very proud to continue this in 2026.

Des loved his Portsmouth, so it is only fitting that the Des Heading Memorial Portsmouth will remain the official memorial competition in his honour.

Alongside this, we will once again hold a WA18 in support of the NI Hospice.

The NI Hospice provided Des with care and support during his final days, and the compassion, dignity and kindness they showed to Des and those around him was truly exceptional. ❤️

Therefore, all proceeds from the WA18 will be donated directly to NI Hospice, helping them continue to provide that same level of care, comfort and support to other families when they need it most.

We will also be holding a raffle during the weekend. If any individuals, clubs or businesses are able to donate an item or items towards the raffle, we would be incredibly grateful for your support. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will help us raise even more for this very worthwhile cause.

This weekend isn't simply about archery.

It is about coming together as a community, remembering a friend, celebrating the memories he left behind, and helping to support the charity that cared for him when he needed it most.

So, let's come together once again.

Let's shoot, laugh, remember and raise money in Des's memory.

Because while Des may no longer be standing beside us on the shooting line, he will always have a place amongst us. ❤️🏹

A huge congratulations to Liam, Jolene, Lesley, Hollie, Gemma and JoJo on their selection to represent Northern Ireland at the National Indoor Championships! 🏹

We’re incredibly proud to see six MCoA members selected to the team. It’s a fantastic achievement and a wonderful recognition of all the hard work, dedication and commitment they’ve put into their competition👏

🏹 The Indoor Season Is Underway! 🏹
Last night saw the indoor season kick off in style, with both a WA18 and Portsmouth round taking place to help everyone prepare for the upcoming National Indoors.

A huge congratulations to everyone who competed! 👏 There were some fantastic scores and some great shooting to get the indoor season off to a flying start.
