🚨UK Pilates industry news. From October it will no longer be possible to train as a YMCA AWARD Level 3 qualified reformer unless you hold a level 3 Mat work qualification as a pre-requisite. This is great news for our industry and those of us who believe a strong underpinning knowledge of Pilates is essential to teach on the apparatus. Thank you YMCA AWARDS for listening to the teachers, education providers and many others who raised valid concerns about this. Pilates is a profession, teaching is a vocation Do whatever funky moves you want on a reformer, but please know, understand and respect the work first. #reformerpilates #pilatesuk

We’ve been running Reformer courses for over 25 years and the demand for Reformer classes & Reformer teachers has never been greater than now, with Reformer studios popping up on high streets on a daily basis!

We believe that anyone teaching on the Pilates Reformer must have a solid training base in the Pilates Method, having qualified in Pilates matwork before moving on to Reformer training.
