Today we played game 2 of our new season, it was always going to be a tough game against a well organised Cambusdoon. We started well and went in front through a Harley penalty but Cambusdoon came back at us and to be honest just really wanted it more on the day. They passed the ball well and took their chances when they came and we weren’t at our best. These things happen in boys football but we’ll be back working at training and be ready for the next one.

23.8.26 Home to Whitletts Vics

Today we played our opening game of the 26/27 season and promised to be a good game with Whitletts pipping us just a couple of weeks ago at the Land of Burns tournament.

We started the game well enough but struggled to find the breakthrough. It did come in the 23rd minute when Scott M got brought down in the box and the ref pointed to the spot. Harley had great composure and slotted it to the keepers left. We settled down after that and started to get a real hold of the game and on the 34th minute our second came through a brilliant effort from Dylan finding the corner of the net from outside the box. We didn’t have to wait long for the 3rd as the ball fell to Scott M in the box and he curled the ball first time into the top corner.

HT 3-0

Second half started well with Harry having a couple of shots saved by the Whitletts goalie. The 4th came on the 54th minute when a perfect cross to the back post area found Higgys head and he made no mistake. We had a few more chances but was an all round good performance.
