What. A. Night. 💙
There’s something pretty surreal about seeing the Ptarmigan Top Station transform into a music venue, especially when the Elephant Sessions boys are the ones taking to the stage! They absolutely blew us away with an unforgettable performance.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and danced the night away at over 1097 metres above sea level. Your energy is what makes these events so special!
Big shout out to Cathal Murphy for opening the show, and to Beluga Lagoon for making a special appearance to perform “Run” with the band.
None of this would be possible without the support of Limelight Event Services and the incredible hard work of our team behind the scenes.
This is one we aren’t going to forget!

The Cairn Gorm Summit Access Trial is now available to book!
This is a small-scale, carefully controlled trial to help us understand whether access to the Cairn Gorm summit from the Ptarmigan Top Station can be managed responsibly.
Places are strictly limited, with a maximum of 20 tracking devices available per day initially, 10 in the morning and 10 in the afternoon. This low number allows our Mountain Ranger Service to closely monitor participation and gather accurate data on how the access arrangements are being used.
Visitors taking part will receive guidance from the Mountain Ranger Service before leaving the Ptarmigan Top Station, this includes assessing whether participants are suitably equipped for the conditions.
Access is limited to established routes to and from the summit, with no permitted access across the wider Cairngorm plateau or into designated European sites. We will have Rangers out on the hill every day the trial is running to ensure everyone is kept safe.
The trial will be closely monitored, including through tracking technology, with the findings used to assess the practical, environmental and safety implications of summit access.
Importantly, this is a trial to gather evidence - it is not the opening of unrestricted access to the plateau, and no decisions have been made about future access arrangements.
If you are booking to take part, please ensure you are suitably prepared for the prevailing mountain conditions and that the walk is within your own fitness and ability.

'Green Light' For Cairn Gorm Summit Access Trial
We are pleased to announce the launch of the Cairn Gorm Summit Access Trial, an initiative designed to explore controlled, un-guided access from the Mountain Railway’s Top Station directly to the Cairn Gorm summit.
With permission to run until November 30 2026, the trial will use GPS tracking technology to gather data on visitor movement, paving the way for potential future updates to the resort’s long-standing Visitor Management Plan.
The data gathered during the trial will help to build a clear picture of visitor movements and provide the insight required for discussions on improving access for non-skiing visitors in the future.
All the essential information can be found on our website: https://www.cairngormmountain.co.uk/walk-trial/
Look out for details on how to book which will shared very soon.
