❤️🎣 SOME DONATIONS MEAN MORE THAN WORDS CAN SAY 🎣❤️

A few days ago I received a message from a guy called Dek, whose good friend Scott Broadhurst sadly passed away.

Scott was a keen angler, and after his passing, Dek wanted to make sure that Scott’s fishing gear went somewhere it could be genuinely appreciated and, more importantly, help other people enjoy the sport that Scott loved.

Dek got in touch with Top Cast Angling CIC and asked if we could collect the equipment.

When I arrived, I honestly couldn’t believe how much there was. Loads of carp fishing gear, fly fishing equipment and so much more. 🎣

It was amazing to see, but at the same time, it was incredibly sad knowing that this was equipment belonging to someone who had spent so much time enjoying fishing and making memories.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences go to Scott’s family, friends and everyone who knew him. ❤️

But amongst the sadness, there is something incredibly special happening here.

Scott’s fishing journey doesn’t have to end with him.

Through Top Cast Angling CIC, we’re going to make sure this equipment gets back on the bank and into the hands of young anglers who will use it, learn from it, catch their first fish with it and hopefully create memories of their own.

Some of these young lads might never have had the opportunity to own equipment like this.

And now, thanks to Dek and Scott, they will.

Scott will never get to meet these young anglers, but a little piece of his passion for fishing will be passed on to every one of them. ❤️

We are incredibly proud that Top Cast Angling CIC has been trusted with this donation, and we will make sure every bit of it is put to good use through our Carp Academy and youth coaching programmes.

So while this post is tinged with sadness, it's also a celebration of something really positive.

A passion shared.
A legacy continued.
And hopefully, many more young anglers discovering the amazing world of fishing because of Scott. 🎣❤️

Thank you, Dek, for thinking of us and for helping make sure Scott’s gear gets the future it deserves.

Rest in peace, Scott. Your fishing story will continue through the next generation. ❤️🎣

🎣 1,200 KIDS… AND COUNTING! ❤️🎣

Wow… we’ve just reached a massive 1,200 kids who have received free fishing tackle through our Top Cast Angling CIC Tackle Donation Scheme! 🙌🎣

When we started this scheme, we knew there were youngsters we coached who absolutely loved fishing but simply couldn’t afford their own tackle. We wanted to change that.

There’s something incredibly special about seeing a young angler’s face when you hand them their own rod, reel or piece of tackle and tell them “this is yours.” ❤️

For some of these kids, that little bit of tackle can make a HUGE difference. It gives them the opportunity to continue fishing outside of our sessions, spend time outdoors, learn new skills and, most importantly, create memories.

And the amazing thing is that we’re still going! 💪

We couldn’t do this without the incredible support we receive from everyone who donates tackle, supports Top Cast Angling CIC, shares our posts and believes in what we’re trying to achieve.

So today, we’re celebrating 1,200 young anglers who have received tackle from us. 🎉🎣

We had a fantastic days fishing on Home Farm Fisheries yesterday. Delton Abbey James and I spent the day on Heron lake fishing for carp and catfish. We got the tactics and bait spot on, and positioned them perfectly right next to the lilly pads. We used about 8kg of Sticky Baits krill active boilies and Impact Particles h**p and maize mix throughout the whole day. The fish were loving it, a lot of times we had bites within minutes of casting out.
We didn't manage to catch any catfish, however we had a cracking time and well over 20 carp.

If you want a good day's fishing for carp and catfish, get yourself to Home Farm Fishery in Alsager, it's brilliant. They have 2 lakes, Heron being the smallest and perfect for beginners, then Kingfisher, the larger lake with cabins, for those serious anglers after bigger carp and huge catfish. Night fishing is allowed too, with really good facilities. Get yourself booked on now 😀

🎣 30+ CARP, 8 TENCH & A DAY TO REMEMBER! 🎣

What an absolutely brilliant day today at Brookhouse Pool, Bay Malton Angling Club ❤️

We took out families today — adults and juniors together — and honestly, watching everyone catching fish, learning, laughing and enjoying themselves was fantastic.

Over 30 carp, 8 tench, plus loads of roach, perch and bream! 🎣🔥

But the fishing was only part of what made today so special.

We had kingfishers, birds of prey and beautiful countryside all around us. Just being outside, away from phones, screens and the stresses of everyday life, enjoying nature and spending time together.

And that's exactly why we do what we do at Top Cast Angling CIC.

We want to get more juniors — and adults too — into fishing, enjoying the outdoors, building confidence, making friends and creating memories with their families.

Fishing really is so much more than catching fish. ❤️

A huge thank you to Bay Malton Angling Club for allowing us to continue doing what we love on such a fantastic venue.

Brookhouse Pool… you've definitely become one of my favourite places to fish! 🎣😍

We’re delighted to be working with Top Cast Angling CIC to host their fantastic 5-week Carp Academy at Lymm Angling Club this September.

Aimed at young anglers aged 13–16, the academy is completely FREE and perfect for beginners who want to learn more about carp fishing in a friendly, relaxed environment.

🎣🎂 A BIRTHDAY PARTY WITH A DIFFERENCE! 🎂🎣

Another fantastic birthday party for Top Cast Angling CIC — and this one was absolutely brilliant! 👏

We headed down to Brookhouse Pool at Bay Malton Angling Club , and the kids had an amazing time. Plenty of fish were caught, including some beautiful tench, and there were smiles all round! 🎣🐟😁

We’re doing more and more fishing birthday parties, and honestly, what a great way to celebrate a birthday!

And there’s something we really love about these parties. 💙

If the birthday boy or girl already loves fishing, why not invite their friends along and let them have a go too?

They might discover a new hobby, make some great memories and, most importantly, make new fishing friends they can go fishing with in their own time. 🎣👫

It’s a fantastic way of bringing kids together, getting them outdoors and introducing them to a hobby that can last a lifetime.

It's always good coaching on Lymm Dam, it's such a beautiful lake. These kids had a fantastic time 👍🙂
I love it when they turn up and ask "will we catch any fish today?" The Dam provides lots of fish every time, it's the lake that just keeps giving, and it's got something for every angler. Silvers ie roach, rudd, gudgeon and bream. Then it has big pike and decent perch. Then on top of that it has some lovely big carp too. It's a truly wonderful place for all anglers. Bay Malton Angling Club run it for members and day ticket too.

🎣🔥 OUR CARP ACADEMY IS FLYING! 🔥🎣

We’re now well into our second Top Cast Angling CIC Carp Academy, this time at Bay Malton Angling Club Border Fisheries in Crewe, and the kids have been absolutely brilliant! 👏

They’ve been catching fish, learning to cast, spodding, building confidence and, most importantly, having a fantastic time while learning new skills. 🎣💪

Next week we’re getting stuck into making rigs — giving them even more knowledge and skills they can take away and use on their own fishing.

It’s amazing seeing the progress they’re making week after week. ❤️

Our first Carp Academy was in Manchester, this one is in Crewe… and we’re already getting excited about Carp Academy number 3 in Warrington! 🙌🎣

A huge thank you to everyone at Bay Malton Angling Club for helping us make this happen.

This is exactly why we do what we do — creating confident, capable young anglers and giving kids something positive to be passionate about. ❤️🎣
