You don’t need to eat raw meat to improve your health…

Social media is full of extreme advice, quick fixes and people making healthy living far more complicated than it needs to be.

The basics might not make such dramatic content, but they matter:

🌸 Eat a balanced, varied diet
🌸 Move your body regularly
🌸 Include strength training
🌸 Prioritise sleep
🌸 Focus on habits you can actually maintain

Inside my FREE Bloom Mums Back to School Club, we’ve been keeping things realistic, sharing simple tips and answering nutrition questions.

We have one week left and there’s still time to join us!

Summer, you were lovely. Albeit a bit hot at times!

It’s been a summer of holidays, days out, ice creams, meals out, time with friends and family… and I’ve loved it.

Have I trained as much as I normally would? Nope.
Have I eaten more than usual? Yep
Do I regret it? Not at all.

Sometimes life is for enjoying, and that’s exactly what I’ve done.

But next week there are some big changes for us. Isla starts school 🥹 and suddenly we’re heading into a completely new chapter. Life is about to look a little different and I’m ready for a bit more routine again.

I’ve got a goal I want to work towards, and for me personally, that goal is fat loss.

That doesn’t mean cutting everything out, living on salads or suddenly training every day. It just means I need to tighten things up a little and be more intentional with what I’m doing.

So this is my plan:

🌸 Plan my week rather than just hoping I’ll fit everything in
🌸 Put my workouts in my diary like any other appointment
🌸 Get back to consistent strength training
🌸 Track my calories for a while so I’m actually aware of what I’m eating
🌸 Keep enjoying the foods I love, but be a bit more mindful with them
🌸 And remember that consistency over the next few months matters far more than trying to be perfect from day one

The ice creams aren’t disappearing 😂🍦 nor is chocolate!

I just have a goal in mind, so my choices need to reflect that a little more.

Summer was for making memories. Now I’m ready to get back into a routine, work towards something for me and see what I can achieve.

New school year. New chapter for all of us 💗

If you’re feeling the same and could do with a little help getting some good habits back in place, my FREE Back to School Mums Club is running now 🌸

We’re focusing on simple, realistic things you can actually fit into Mum life - food, movement and making a little time for yourself.

Want to join us? Send me BACK TO SCHOOL and I’ll send you the link.

A little look back at where Bloom started…

From an empty space at the bottom of the garden to my own private training studio and now she’s had a little glow-up! ✨

This is the home of my 1:1 training and Bloom Mums Club, and I’m so proud of how far it’s come.

My free Bloom Mums Back to School Club has also started this week. For two weeks, I’m sharing simple daily reminders around food, movement, hydration and finding a little time for yourself.

There’s still time to join us. Message me “BACK TO SCHOOL” and I’ll send you the WhatsApp link.

Strength training isn’t just about what you can lift in the gym. It’s about making everyday life feel easier too.

Shopping bags, washing baskets, kids, school bags… being strong comes in pretty handy. 💪

A few things I think we can happily leave behind 👋

Being scared of carbs.
Worrying that lifting weights will make you bulky.
Feeling guilty for enjoying food.
And putting yourself at the bottom of the list.

You don’t need to do everything perfectly to look after yourself.

Eat the carbs. Lift the weights. Enjoy the tiramisu. Take the rest day. And make some time for YOU 💗

If you’re a mum who wants to get stronger, feel more confident and find an approach that actually fits around your life, drop me a message and let’s chat 🌸

Although I’m a little late to the trend, I couldn’t resist

If you train with me, just know I AM listening… I’m fully invested in your story.

But there is also a very real chance we’ve done 12 reps instead of 10 because I’ve completely lost count 😂

Mums, if you’re looking for somewhere you can get stronger, build your confidence and have a good chat along the way, come and train with me.

Drop me a message and let’s chat!

Anyone else grow up thinking two bowls of Special K and a workout DVD were the answer? 😂🙋‍♀️

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with cardio (it’s incredibly important for our health!) or enjoying a workout DVD.

But so much of the messaging we grew up with was about burning fat, dropping inches and making our bodies smaller.

These days, I’d much rather focus on what our bodies can do. 💪🌸

Move for your heart.
Lift to get stronger.
Eat to fuel yourself.
And find movement you actually enjoy.

Hopefully we can help the next generation grow up with a slightly different message. 💗

I actually qualified as a Personal Trainer back in 2018.

At the time I thought it might lead to a change of career, but life had other plans. Things changed at Cisco, I found myself really enjoying my job again, and I also lost my mum.

So I stayed in the corporate world, and fitness remained something I loved rather than something I did for a living.

Then in December 2024, after 23 years, I was made redundant.

It was scary, but it also gave me the chance to really think about what I wanted to do next.

I knew I wanted to do something where I could make a difference.

And that PT qualification I’d done all those years ago suddenly felt like something I wanted to come back to.

So I went for it. 💗

And the more I’ve learnt since, the more passionate I’ve become about helping mums cut through all the noise around fitness and nutrition.

Because we’re constantly being told to eat less, cut things out, exercise more, lose weight, buy this supplement, avoid that food…

It really doesn’t need to be that complicated.

I want to help mums get stronger, feel healthier, understand what actually matters (and what not to believe!) and make some time for themselves too.

And that’s really why Bloom exists. 🌸

The path here wasn’t particularly straightforward, but I’m very glad it led me here.

If you’re a mum trying to cut through all the noise and just want to feel stronger, healthier and more like yourself again - you’re in the right place. 💗

And if you’d like some help getting there, send me a message. I’d love to chat.

Not everyone needs the same level of support… and that’s exactly why I offer different ways to work with me.

Whether you want to simply turn up and train, train with a friend, have ongoing nutrition and accountability, or prefer online coaching, there’s an option to suit you.

My goal is always the same: to help busy mums feel stronger, more confident and make time for themselves again.

I’m currently welcoming a few new mums into Bloom. If you’ve been waiting for a sign to put yourself first, this is it. Send me “COACH” and let’s chat. Katie 🌸
