The Wednesday Evening series sadly comes to an end, with everyone off the water just before sunset. Thank you to all sailors, race officers, safety crew and Clairecookssurrey for making it a great summer of racing!!

The holidays are over, the dust has settled and September is the perfect time to do something new - just for you. Join us at Queen Mary Sailing Club for our second Women’s Watersports Open Day of the year, on Friday 18th September.

Whether you’ve always fancied sailing, wondered what windsurfing is all about, or simply want to try something completely different, this is your chance to get out on the water in a relaxed, friendly and supportive environment. We’re offering half-price taster sessions for just £22.50, across sailing, windsurfing and more.

No experience is needed and no kit is required — just come along, have a go and see what you think. You don’t need to be sporty or experienced; if you’ve ever looked out on the water and thought “I’d love to try that”, this is your chance.

So, before September disappears into the usual routine, why not make time for something new? Come along, meet some like-minded women, discover what Queen Mary Sailing Club has to offer and, most importantly, have a go! You might just discover your new favourite thing.

Start your Autumn the right way with some keelboat racing. Keelboat Select members enter for free, with members getting discounted entry. The event is also open to non-members.

Ask any parent whose child has done a course with us and they'll tell you the same thing — it's not just about learning to sail. It's watching them come out of their shell, make mates, and walk away a bit more sure of themselves.
