Kennington Summer Fayre

Kennington Recreation Ground, the site for the annual Fayre, will be the starting point for this week's Town Council Litterpick. Meet at 10.00 today, Wednesday 26 August. This is a chance for pupils at Kennington Academy and Downs View Downs View Infant School to help tidy up the environment near their school, so bring them along. Let's hope the thunderstorms have all moved through in time!

Calling all carpenters. Kennington Summer Fayre is looking for a few plywood offcuts to repair our A3 poster boards ready for next year. Please keep us in mind and save some from the skip. We will collect if you tell us where and when.

Fayre Annual General Meeting has been rearranged to Thursday 3 September at 19.30. Meeting will take place at St Mary’s Community Centre, Rylands Road Kennington.

We hope everyone enjoyed themselves yesterday. We think we have taken down all of our banners and posters but, if you see one, please let us know. All Bennett’s and poster boards are re-used each year to keep costs down.

It's finally here!! The Fayre is tomorrow!
It will be a few degrees cooler than the last couple of days but still very hot. Bring your water, suncream and hats. It will be too hot for the pooches in their coats so the dog show has been cancelled. We will have a cool area set up so please make use of this. All of our stewards and core team are happy to help. We thank you for supporting the Fayre and all our charities and groups. See you all tomorrow!! 😁😁
