I didn’t make bike night, last night but did have the pleasure of seeing Nigel riding this lovely build while I was still working.
Can’t say how pleased I am that this bike was picked out as bike of the night at The Doghouse Tuesday bike night.
The amazing bit is it will be just as clean on the inside and he will ride it 365 days a year and still it will be immaculate.

It’s Tuesday, it’s warm and dry, so obviously it’s bike night at the Doghouse micro pub, Evegate business centre, just off the A20 near Ashford.
Starts at 1800, as usual cheap food and drinks.
Plus best bike of the night award gives you a £10 food voucher and you get to pick your favourite as the next week’s winner.

I bought this Corbin seat the other day with the intention of using it on my Suzuki gs850L American import.
To that end would anyone with a Harley let me have a look under the seat so I can replicate the brackets etc on my bike?

First two bikes are joint bikes of the night as we wrongly believed previous weeks winner wasn’t coming today, but ironically we draughted in a lady to pick and the two people picked two bikes independently that both belonged to a group who travelled together.
Both bikes very much of the built not bought ethos.
Tonight was a great atmosphere and many new people in attendance.
Got a fair bit of feedback over bar Que, every week inability to take cash and give correct change and variable food delays.
Dave and the crew at Ashford bike nights hear and agree with the issues but it’s a tricky fix as we don’t control the bar or kitchen and we don’t get the same staff each week.
Plus the landlord doesn’t come in person.
Which is a shame as Duncan’s a nice bloke, but I can’t help feeling this could be so so much more if the captain of the ship was in attendance and saw how much trade he’s missing when so many people see the Que and just don’t bother to buy another drink or order food.
But overall it’s still a great chilled night, with a great mix of people, fair prices, nice food and I personally like the venue and hope it can grow with the nights popularity.

It’s Tuesday, it’s lovely weather so obviously it’s a bike night.
Every Tuesday from 1800 is the friendly bike night with good food and cheap drinks at the Doghouse micro pub, Evegate business centre just off the A20 near Ashford.
Can’t be many nice weather evenings left and certainly won’t be many later this week so see you all later

I have a 1978 Honda CG125 that’s been butchered so I’m making a little trail bike out of it, but my one is missing the seat.
I’m after a seat similar in shape to the one pictured to use on my little project. The perfect solution would be a CG125 one from that age, but next best option is another small Honda seat I can make fit.
Because it’s had subframe cut off I can make brackets etc to fit any seat of similar size.
So if you could take a look in your sheds/garages/parts heaps and see if you can help me out that would be much appreciated.

What a great days riding with a great bunch of people from the Doghouse Tuesday bike night crew of ashford bike night.
We all met up at 0930 at Burger King ashford and rode out via a very rural route to the Airport cafe for breakfast , then on to Dungeness where we split and 4 of us went to shadoxhurst for a cheeky couple of pints at the Kings head.
As I said in the pre meet post you just can’t pass up a warm dry ride at this time of the year and I certainly had a great day and as is the norm with this group met some lovely people who I got to know better after the ride out today.
Fingers crossed for a dry night on Tuesday!

Ride out tomorrow Sunday is a memorial ride, but as is the sociable nature of The Ashford bike night( Doghouse micropub ) social group it will include a breakfast stop at the airport cafe on the A20 near Hythe.
As always it’s a steady ride suitable for classics and 125s etc.
Meet up is Sunday at Ashford Burger King junction 9 at 0930 with a view to leave at 1000.
Weather looks good and it’s that time of the season when you’ll kick yourself if you don’t make the best of a dry day.
See you there.

Well Tuesday is fast approaching and whilst the scorching heat has diminished for a few days the forecast for bike night is dry and warm.
So don’t put your toys away just yet, time for another top Tuesday gathering at The doghouse micro pub, Evegate business centre, just off the A20 near Ashford.
Cheap drinks, good food and a super friendly atmosphere.
Ps don’t forget most weekends we have a breakfast ride out to a different cafe and these are getting really well supported.
Always a steady affair so suitable for 125s, classics and everything else in between.

Another great night at The Doghouse Micropub Tuesday bike night.
This weeks winner was this lovely AJS.
Made better as he had no idea bike of the night was a thing and he can’t wait to come back next week to spend his £10 food voucher and pick his choice of bike of the night.
I may be biased but this event is so varied, friendly with a great mix of people I think it’s the best .
