A round up of last weekends action.
Massive congratulations to Marion O Donnell getting some reward for her massive progress this summer finishing 2nd in her age group at Lough Key Triathlon.ππππ
Top Of The Mourne Triathlon was where Barney Gordon, Gareth Dempsey and Nikolai Terziev headed. Nikolai took on his first Olympic Distance Triathlon. What a way to do one for the first time one of the most challenging Triathlons on the Calendar. But no bother to the lads.
Well done to Ayla UΓ Dhonnghaile who headed for the Hills of Donegal literally π
took on a damp Donegal Half Marathon. Well to Emma McAlister running the Clomore 10mile another damp one but didn't stop Emma cruising through it.

Plenty of Pikekickers where out and about over the weekend.
8 Pikekickers headed for Dublin City Triathlon.
It had a nice swim down the Liffey then a fast cycle and run Round Phoenix Park. Well done to Marion O Donnell Stephen Cross Bri Murray Claire Kelly Lorraine O'Neill Brendan O Neill Una Mone and Peter McGuigan.
Well done to Lily Roney on her first Half Marathon also Andrew MacDonald who took on the Scenic Antrim Coast Half Marathon.

Before another weekend of action. We had Pikekickers spreadover the country last weekend. Stephen Cross took a trip to Westport for the Olympic Distance Triathlon. Putting in one of his best performances this year πͺ. Ayla UΓ Dhonnghaile took the family for a weekend in Wexford to do the sprint triathlon. Getting stronger every race. Getting to know some friendly Jelly Fish πͺΌπ€£.
Marion O Donnell and Emma McAlister took on Lap of Louth sportive. Battled through damp conditions, that didn't dampen the spirits Marion even picked up a prize for her smiles π.

So of course Pikekickers where in action last weekend. 2 legends Took on the Legend Of The Lakes in Craigavon πββοΈπββοΈ Well done Emma McAlister Ayla UΓ Dhonnghaile. Another 2 legends took on The Carlingford Olympic Distance triathlon. Always a great challenge but very happily faced nice calm waters in Carlingford lough. Super times by Joan Murphy and Martin.
Brendan O Neill Lorraine O'Neill and Barry Lynch took on the Inch Mile swim in Rathmullen Co Donegal. Not so calm π
ππͺΌ. Basically you jump of the boat out at sea and swim to the beach. Very rough conditions but sure that makes more fun π. Barry ended up on the podium with 3rd male wetsuit. Well done to Colin Lindsay 1st non wetsuit. πππ

On Sunday the Pikekickers continued the winning streak. This was Super Sunday. Pikekickers traveled to Cavan. What a win for Barney Gordon first male over the line ππ. Marion O Donnell came home from Holidays Friday. Was on the startline for Tri The lough Saturday and completing with a great time. Headed to Cavan Sunday morning went and won her age group π. Stephen Cross got reward for his hard work also by winning his age group with a strong performance. Andrew MacDonald keeps racking up the triathlons.
Then down in Loughrea Aqua Sprint. Michael Megaw finished 3rd overall and 2nd Age group. Brendan O Neill l picked up his first silverware getting 2nd in his age group. Lorraine O'Neill kept her high standards up by winning her age group. The trophy cabinet in the ONEILL household will be full.
Amazing results again just delighted to see athletes getting rewarded for hard work. π‘β«οΈπ‘β«οΈ

The Pikekickers had such a successful weekend that the weekend roundup needs to be done in 2 parts π.
We had a massive 15 headed of Loughmacrory. Tri The Lough sprint and Tri a Tri distance. We had 2 ladies that can now call themselves triathletes take on their first Triathlon. Ellen McKernan took on the sprint distance. Emma White took on the Tri a Tri. Both completing with ease.
Joan Murphy picked up 1st place in her group π
Una Mone picked up 2nd in her age group π
Lily Roney picked up 3rd in her age group π (lily's 3rd triathlon). Really nice to see rewards for your hard work.
We had a mixture of our experienced triathletes to New to Triathlon.
Declan Gordon, John Swail, Barry Lynch, Emma McAlister, Declan Woods and Dominic Clarke who can still manage to arrive at race forgetting his bag with all his gear in it π€£.
Massive well done to Claire Kelly Ayla UΓ Dhonnghaile, Finbar Conroy. All completing their 2nd triathlon and improving all the time.
A brilliant day with great support. A superb team effort to get everyone over the line. Well done to Omagh Triathlon Club for putting a very well organised Triathlon.

What a weekend the Pikekickers had. Not only did Tri Limits Triathlon Club organise a brilliant professional event. But the Pikekickers went and put in performances of their lifes. Super Woman Lorraine O'Neill got herself another podium π aswell as a 9min PB from lastyear. Superman Barney Gordon just clicked it all together and got an amazing Sub 5 hr time. Joan Murphy continuing to bounce back from injury with strong performance chipping away at those times. Natasha Martin choosing only to do the tough triathlons this year π€£πͺ. Great to see Carley Connelly back out racing after some time out. Dominic Clarke keeps rolling back the years cruising round the course. Stephen Cross also putting in a big performance enjoying a great summer of triathlon. Andrew MacDonald completed the half distance his first year at triathlon keeps pushing himself to the Max for a great cause.
You will not come across a happier Triathlete than Marion O Donnell. who completed Hazelwood Olympic Distance. Which is amazing as Marion could not swim a year and a half ago. Nikolai Terziev and Emma McAlister took on the tough 10k Sea to sky in Newcastle.

Coming in late with the action from last weekend. Enjoying that sun too much π. John Swail Gareth Dempsey and Marion O Donnell completed the Two Provinces Sprint triathlon.
Some Pikekickers headed for the beach on Sunday Skerries was the spot. Michael Megaw Bri Murray Benny Oneill, Lorraine O'Neill took on the Aquathon which is a Swim πββοΈ Bike π². Dominic Clarke and Declan Gordon took on the sprint triathlon.
ππMassive result for Declan not only finished 10th. He got 2nd in his age group ππ.
Nice to get rewards for the hard work put in.
Konrad Buffalo Mc Niece took on the massive challenge of Ironman Vitoria in brutal heat π₯΅. Huge achievement. Well done Konrad.

Sometimes as a Triathlete its a treat to do an event that involves one discipline. It was a quiet Triathlon weekend.
Claire Kelly Lily Roney Ayla UΓ Dhonnghaile Marion O Donnell had a ladies morning cycling in the hills of Donegal, wet tough morning but definitely didnt dampen their spirit.πβοΈ
Una Mone and family took on another tough cycle, this time, The Ring of Kerry, over a 100miles again with plenty of hills. β°οΈβ°οΈ
Barney Gordon and Joan Murphy took on Lord and Lady of the lough in one of our favourite spots Camlough Lake. Which involved swimming the full length of the lake. π
Another family day out in Tyrone. Barry Lynch and dad. John Swail and daughter. Clare McGee and daughter. All ran the really well organised and great event The Great Rossa Run 10k. Barney took on the half marathon.
There was one Triathlon though. Andrew MacDonald cant get enough of this game now π€£. Took a last minute entry to Co Clare for the Olympic Distance in kilkee. Busy weekend well done everyone. β«οΈπ‘β«οΈπ‘
