A group of girls from Limavady created unforgettable memories recently as they travelled to London to represent their schools and hometown at the ABC - All Britain Competition, taking part through Ulster GAA’s Cúchulainn Initiative.
Representing the Limavady Cúchulainns, the squad was made up of pupils from Limavady High School, Limavady Grammar School and St. Mary's Limavady. The Cúchulainn Initiative, Ulster GAA’s flagship cross-community programme, brings together young people from diverse backgrounds through Gaelic Games while promoting friendship, understanding, and reconciliation.
Competing in the U16 girls’ competition at the Hazelwood Centre, the team demonstrated excellent teamwork, determination, and fair play throughout the tournament, proudly representing both their schools and the Limavady community.
Away from the playing field, the group enjoyed a memorable sightseeing tour of London, taking in famous landmarks including Westminster, Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square before enjoying team-building activities together, creating friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.

Ulster GAA's 2026 U-15 Regional Football Player Academy Camps took place last week at three venues across the province: Derry GAA CofE Owenbeg, Monaghan GAA CofE Cloghan and Tyrone GAA CofE Garvaghey 🏐
Each of Ulster’s nine counties nominated 10 players to attend their regional camp, bringing together the province’s top young football talent.
Morning sessions included presentations on topics such as resilience and athletic development, alongside on-field coaching focused on game sense, decision-making, and skill refinement, with specific coaching for goalkeepers also.
In the afternoons, players took part in full-sided games, with performance analysis used to provide feedback and compare elements of play with this year’s Ulster Championship standards.
Over the three days, the young players were joined by three current inter-county stars - Conor McCluskey (Derry), Cian McConville (Armagh) and Mattie Donnelly (Tyrone) - whose insights and Q&A sessions were among the highlights.
Ulster GAA extends its thanks to everyone involved and hopes all players had a rewarding and enjoyable experience 💯
