Muscle soreness isnโt a sign of a successful workout. While soreness can happen, especially when trying something new or increasing intensity, it isnโt the only indicator of progress.
Strength gains, improved endurance, better technique, and consistency are all signs that your training is working. As your body adapts, youโll often experience less soreness while continuing to make excellent progress. ๐ช

Rest is important, but too much of it can actually work against your recovery.
When we stop moving completely, our bodies start to adaptโฆ

The goal isnโt to avoid movement. Itโs to find the right movement.
Appropriate, guided movement helps maintain strength and encourages your body to heal in a way thatโs ready for real life and sport.
If you are recovering from an injury or dealing with ongoing aches and pains, the best approach is often active recovery and not endless rest.
That doesnโt mean pushing through severe pain or ignoring an injury. It means gradually reintroducing movement that is appropriate for your stage of recovery.

Understanding the difference between pain and injury can be incredibly reassuring . It can reduce fears, build confidence, and help you return to the activities you enjoy.
This doesnโt mean you should ignore pain, but it does mean pain isnโt a sign you are causing harm.
