Bit of an honest one from me.
I’ve realised my training has to match where I am in life.
Not where I was 10 years ago.
Not what I used to be able to do.
Not what someone online says I should be doing.
It has to match me.
I’ve trained most of my life. I’ve fought, competed, sparred, rolled, lifted, ran, and generally kept myself fairly sharp over the years.
But the last few years have probably been the least active I’ve ever been because of operations, injuries, recovery, and life in general.
And one of the hardest parts is remembering what I used to be able to do. Then I start again and realise my body isn’t in the same place anymore.
That’s been frustrating at times.
But I’m not stopping training.
I’m starting from where I am now and building back up properly.
One session.
Then another.
Then another.
Right now, I’m focused on consistency and doing what I can, with the body I have today.

One of my favourite things we do all year isn't a challenge, competition, or gym session.
It's our annual BBQ.
No training.
No calories.
No pressure.
Just members, families, friends, kids running about, food on the grill, and a few hours spent catching up with people you normally only see between sets.

RESULTS GYM SUMMER BBQ 2026 ☀️🍔
It’s officially back.
We’ll be hosting our annual Results Gym Summer BBQ on:
📍 Victoria Park, Arbroath
📅 Sunday 28th June 2026
⏰ 1:00PM – 4:00PM
This is all about getting everyone together outside the gym for a relaxed afternoon with good food, good people, and a good atmosphere.
The gym will provide the main BBQ food, and all we ask is that you bring:
✔️ A camp chair or blanket
✔️ Good energy
✔️ An appetite
Friends, partners, and families are all welcome.
At the moment we’re just getting early numbers together so we can start planning everything properly.
