The Kilties were in Arbroath on Saturday for the Gala Day competition ✨ The day was extra special as it was Kiltie Elsie's 4th birthday! πŸ₯³

A massive well done to all our dancers. Everyone danced beautifully and came away with some more medals for their collections πŸ… A special mention to our Trophy winners Madison-lily winning Overall Beginners 2nd runner up, and Eilidh winning Overall Intermediate, Most Points Pre-Open Highland and the Angus Kilties Most Points. πŸ†

Thank you to everyone that helped us with the running of the comp. And to Kiltie Mum Sarah for organising everything needed for our Coffee stand. πŸ’œ

A special thanks to Seahills Farm for their very kind donation of Angus Strawberries, they were a real treat! πŸ“πŸ˜‹

The Kilties were invited to take part in the Dundee Get Together in City Square a couple of week ago. The event focused on bringing groups within the community together to celebrate kindness and inclusivity in Dundee.

Our dancers were filmed prior to the event and the footage used to create a short film, promoting community groups in Dundee, that was shown on a big screen at the event.

On the day we had a fun afternoon dancing in a parade down Reform street and into City Square, where everyone was invited to dance and join in the festivities. πŸ₯°

There was real buzz and positive atmosphere in the heart of the city and it was lovely to see everyone come together to enjoy the live music and demonstrations from different dance groups. Thank you to Dundee Council for having us. πŸ’œ

Earlier this month a few of our girls attended the Dancers Against Cancer competition in Dundee.

Well done to all the dancers and to the organisers. There was a fantastic amount of money raised for a very special cause, close to many of our hearts πŸ’™πŸ¦‹

Catching up with everything the Kilties have been up to lately. Last month our dancers travelled through to Cupar for the Kingdom of Fife competition.

Our dancers had a fun day together and our youngest Kiltie Maggie joined us for her very first competition πŸ₯° Super well done to all our dancers on the day. They all did a great job and came away with some more medals for their collections πŸ…

Special mention to our Novice trophy winners, Daniella and Nala πŸ†πŸ’œ

A wonderful way to spend tartan day in Arbroath with the Kilties πŸ₯°

Did you know the 6th of April marks the day the Declaration of Arbroath was signed in 1320? Today we celebrated that day at the place where the declaration was signed all those years ago, Arbroath Abbey. We joined the procession through the high street, past the harbour and finished with a dance on Beacon Green beside the signal tower. 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Thank you to Friends of Arbroath Abbey for having us along to dance and celebrate our wee hometown. πŸ’œ
