Sundays Final took place at Carnoustie Panmure Football Club Ground, and what a game it was to be.
First Half - A poor first 45min for the lads, 1-0 down due to an early Kirrie goal. We weren't up to much, slow, and 2nd to everything. Despite this we started to grow into the game and created a couple chances. Clear to see Kirries main tactic of hoofing the ball up the field to the wingers, which we struggled to deal with.

Second Half - After a motivating half time team talk from gaffers Conor Mcleod and Bruce Donaldson, something special was brewing. The lads knew it was time to raise their game, and they didnt disappoint
51min in Grayzer assist and a wonder goal from Stephen Brown, volley from outside the box, no keeper in the world would have saved . 1-1 game on!.
1 minute later, lads still in celebration mode, switch off completely, Kirrie make it 2-1.
57min in, Rory Cooper direct from a corner put the ball at the back of the net, did he mean it? of course he did 2-2
68min Andreou's at this point were pilling on the pressure, in control of the game, and got a deserved pen when Midfield maestro Mitch got brought down in the box.
Coops calmly bags the penalty 3-2
74min Kirrie keeper sent off for a cynical tackle outside the box on Stephen Brown. Poor tackle and deserved red, with stevie cert to score.
86min Despite being down to 10 men, Kirrie didnt give up, with a mistake on our part , allowing an easy goal from Kirrie to take it in extra time 3-3

FULL TIME 3-3

Extra Time
2min A slow start from us to extra time sees Kirrie go ahead 3-4
11min Andies finding their rhythm again, with a pre assist from Grazyer, and an assist from Coops, Presto calmy slots the ball in top corner 4-4
16min Potential to be goal of the season, Presto scored a Roofe esque goal from the half way line!!! Andies back in the lead 5-4 .
17min Lads switch off again after the goal, Kirrie counter attack and make it 5-5
26min At this point the stress was real, was hard to watch, just as it looked like it might go to pens. The legend Hewzie lobs the ball over the top of the keeper, a fine finish and a goal deserving to win any game.

6-5 Andreou's EXTRA TIME FT
Incredible scenes at the end, everyone on the pitch celebrating with the trophy, deserved win for the lads. Bringing the trophy to Arbroath 🏆 Mad end to the game and a big shout out to Kirrie Thistle Sunday Amateurs for their efforts with 10 men.

So many people to thank, as we win our first ever Cup in the 10th year of Andreou's FC, and which could also be our last year with that name.
For me its been my proudest day as the clubs chairman, not for me, but to see the lads get silverware, something they all deserve for battling for each other over 120mins in the scorching heat.
Huge thanks to the gaffers Bruce Donaldson and Conor Mcleod, Bruce especially as has put many years into the club , and with him leaving as gaffer end of the season, he leaves as a legend of the club, and someone that has fought hard to make the club competitive. Also big shout out to the incoming gaffer McLeod with his hard work and dedication in making the club into a winning team.
Its a special club, despite a dip in form after the winter break, the lads have battled back and stuck together to bring home silverware to Andreou's . Huge thanks to them, as without them, there is no club

In the final league game of the season we travelled to Dundee.
Somehow we found ourselves down 2-0 , but credit to the lads worked solid again as a team and thought back to 2-2, should really have won it with a dominate 2nd half performance.
