Last night our Musical Theatre groups gave a warm welcome to our latest member of the teaching team, Tim! 🎶

We’re very excited to announce that Tim will be joining the WASP teaching team from this week! 🤩

You’ll see him in Drama, Musical Theatre and 1-1 Singing sessions teaching alongside Sophie. Welcome to the team! 💚

Here’s a little bit about Tim:

My career in performing began with a passion for musical theatre and has taken me through some incredible experiences, including working in the West End, touring nationally, and working across television, film, commercials and voiceovers.

Alongside performing, I discovered a real passion for teaching and helping the next generation of performers develop their confidence, creativity and skills. I have worked independently as a teacher, as well as with Northern Performance Academy in Harrogate, where I helped lead the Musical Theatre and Drama programme.

During my time at NPA, I had the pleasure of supporting students through their LAMDA and Trinity examinations, as well as directing and creating a variety of showcase material. I have also been lucky enough to help direct and choreograph productions including Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Matilda Jr, Legally Blonde and many other exciting projects.

For me, there is nothing more rewarding than watching young performers grow, find their confidence and discover what they are capable of both on and off the stage.

I’m incredibly excited to begin this next chapter, working alongside Sophie and getting to know and work with all of her fantastic students. I can’t wait to bring my experience, energy and love of performing to the next adventure! 🎭✨

WASP IS COMING HOME! 🤩

We are so excited to announce that we will be returning to the Calverley Mechanics Institute (now named the Calverley Community Centre) from September!

For those who don’t know, this venue holds a very special place in our hearts… next year marks 20 YEARS since WASP began right here in Calverley

Back then, we started with just one or two children for the first couple of months. Fast forward 20 years, and we have grown into an award-winning performing arts school with over 150 pupils, and we are so proud of our WASP family 💚

And now… we’re coming home!

The majority of our classes will still be held at Calverley Studios, but the following will be moving back over to the Mechanics:

✨ Senior Elite
✨ Junior Performing Arts
✨ Senior Performing Arts

And of course we will be holding our annual Halloween Contemporary show ‘Nightmare On Thornhill Street’ there too! 🎃
