After 5 years with the club, Katie is heading off to an amazing opportunity with Carlisle United. She’s a hugely dedicated player who always gives 100%, never gives up, and is always pushing herself to improve.

We’re really sad to see her go, but so proud she’s earned such a fantastic opportunity. She’ll be missed by everyone — and we’re all wishing her the very best for what’s ahead! 💪⚽️

Annan Athletic 0–6 Galloway Thistle

A tough game for the girls today against Galloway Thistle.

Despite the scoreline, the girls kept going right until the final whistle and showed great determination and effort throughout the game. There were some really nice passages of play, with good movement, passing and some excellent support for one another.

We also had a few players playing in different positions today, and they adapted really well, stepping up and giving everything for the team. 👏

Lots to take from the game and plenty of positives to build on. 🖤💛

This Saturday our U14 girls are back in action as they host Galloway Thistle at Galabank.

The Ladies' League Cup campaign continued on Sunday with an away trip to Dalbeattie Star.

Annan created numerous chances during the first half and had several opportunities to get on the scoresheet but unfortunately couldn't find the back of the net. Dalbeattie were more clinical with their opportunities and taking a 3-0 lead into the break.

Annan knew they needed a strong response in the second half, but Dalbeattie struck again early on to extend their advantage. Despite the scoreline, the team continued to battle and showed great determination, with Halle Goodwin and Louise Lundy both finding the net to reduce the deficit.

While the result wasn't what we wanted, there were plenty of positives to take from the performance, with the team creating chances and never giving up. The Ladies will now return to training and work hard over the next couple of weeks before welcoming Gretna to Galabank on Sunday 6th September.
