Squad member Alice had a great time last week when she went to visit the new Hydra Swim Academy in Congleton! It’s run by brilliant coaches and they deliver video analysis sessions in their endless pool - they are even doing a free give away this week if you visit their profile Hydra Swim Academy💙💛

We were delighted to award Sophia her special Altrincham Swimming Club Nationals Duck tonight ! It is no ordinary duck, it was a fully engraved duck trophy!

Well done Sophia, you’ve worked so hard for your success this year, go smash that 100 and 200 Free!

On behalf of ASC , we said a big thank you to Louise Pennington for her many years of service to the club.

When her son James was 10 (he’s now 22) Louise agreed to take on the role of Kit Officer and subsequently spent a number of years as Club Secretary before she passed this over when James went to University. Since then, Louise has continued to work tirelessly behind the scenes organising all the club kit - that’s hundreds of county and regionals t shirts ordered, and maybe even thousands of hats ordered and distributed!

Louise has recently passed on the Kit Officer baton to Martin, who is already doing a great job.

It was a pleasure to be able to take Louise out as a thank you for all her years of hard work and dedication to the club - we had some great times and great memories which will never be forgotten!

Well done to this fantastic squad of swimmers who came to long course training today. Coaching wise I had my work cut out with a lot of swimmers in one lane all needing to get the best out of the session; but the swimmers worked hard and they look like they enjoyed it!

Our Swimmer ABCs are the cornerstone of our club values, with attendance being a real focus: good attendance aids swimmer improvements and builds squad culture and team spirit 💪💪

After receiving confirmation that additional timing chips are available for the event we are delighted to announce that the capacity has now increased from 200 to 250 participants limited number of spaces that are now available for the open water championships.
