Friday is Neil’s day! 🥋🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This Friday, Neil Macdonald will step onto the tatami to represent Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Competing at a home Games is a special opportunity, and after years of hard work, dedication and sacrifice, Neil is ready to take on the challenge on one of the biggest stages in the sport.

We recently caught up with Neil to hear about his preparation, his mindset heading into the competition, and what it means to represent Scotland at a home Commonwealth Games.

Last session in the dojo this morning for jadencalder100 before he moves into Team Scotland training camp with JudoScotland great session and finisher. The players all signed a good luck board for him, to wish him well, we all believe in you, go smash it Big Man.

Just 3 days to go! 🥋🏴

With only three days until the Commonwealth Games get underway in Glasgow, we caught up with one of Judo Club Esprit’s leading athletes, Jaden Calder, as he prepares to represent Scotland on one of the biggest stages in the sport.

Many of you will know Jaden, whether you’ve trained alongside him, been coached by him, or simply followed his journey over the years. We sat down with him to hear how he’s feeling ahead of the Games, what representing Scotland means to him, and the journey that has brought him to this moment.
