uk creating an open space to discuss how to scale mindfully and promote community impact and wellbeing

And so many other amazing messages for protecting outdoors spaces. to name but a few!

Community events have a special place in the outdoor world and if you didn’t get chance to attend this year keep your eye out for awesome talks, campaigns & adventures where you can involved and meet like minded folk tackling missions for both people and planet. are hosting their autumn race The Cheese & Crackers Trail here in the heart of Derbyshire on the 2nd of November.

Now we know what you’re wondering … what’s that got to do with Storm?

Well Trails For Good are a little different to your normal trail race host. They are all about protecting the awesome local trails we have all fallen in love with. You won’t find a medal for your hard earned efforts but local goodies in the form of cheese and port with a portion of your entry fee going directly into recovery project across Derbyshire. You’ll also find opportunities for kit repair across their events, maybe you’ve got a jacket that needs a re-proof, no problem, how about a hole in those expensive supershoes? Get them sorted for their next adventure.

This race is what you make it, with a long and short route available, it’s marshalled and time chipped so whether your new to the trails or veteran dripping in trail armor, enjoy a spectacular event and do some good whilst doing it.

The festival was jam packed with a wide variety of activities, talks, music and food! It was an awesome opportunity to talk about care & repair whilst raising an incredible amount for the Alpkit Foundation. A true pleasure to be apart of. 🏕️
