With pre season training now underway here at Valley we’re looking for new players to join our squads! Pre season focuses on fun, fitness, team building and going back to basics so now is the perfect time to come down and join us!

Our fantastic coaches will guide you every step of the way, and you’ll be supported by a great group of teammates throughout each session.

Our minis and juniors teams are currently taking a well deserved break but keep an eye on our pages for details of when they will be back training!

🧸 MOVE WITH MEANING EVENT 🧸

It’s now just 1 week to go until the Move with Meaning 11 hour fitness classathon event organised by the ladies at Bear B***y Fitness! We’re incredibly proud to be hosting this event which is all about raising money for a very special cause!

Join us for an unforgettable day packed with fun, fitness, community and fundraising as we come together to support a cause that touches so many hearts.

This event has been created in loving memory of Teddy, Francesca’s son, who sadly passed away in December aged just 11 years old. Everyone involved will be paying tribute to his strength, love and resilience which he showed every single day.

You can expect:

The women have started their pre season training this week and they’ve love you to come and join them!

Whether you’ve played rugby before or are looking to try a new sport then Amber Valley Rugby Club is the place for you! Our womens team will be playing in the Inner Warrior Series this season which is perfect for new and developing players to gain confidence and game experience.

With a great coaching set up and an incredibly inspiring group of women we guarantee that you’ll quickly fall in love with the sport and the team!

Tonight our Under 18 girls, senior men and senior women will be taking to the pitches for training! With just 2 months until the 2026/27 season starts the teams are making a start on their pre season training which will be focusing on fitness, basic skills and team building!

🏉 AVRUFC Men’s Leadership Announcement – 2026/27 Season 🏉

Amber Valley RUFC is delighted to announce our men’s senior leadership team for the 2026/27 season.

Following an unfortunate injury sustained while on tour, Rhys Falconbridge will be unable to take on the captaincy this season. Whilst this is disappointing, we’re pleased that he will remain heavily involved with the club as Team Manager and continue to play a key role in driving the team forward.

We are proud to announce that Conor Buxton will lead the side as 1st Team Captain for the 2026/27 campaign.
Supporting Conor will be Tom Dexter and Jacob Clarke, who have both been appointed as Vice-Captains.

As we look to build on the progress made last year and continue developing both our 1st XV and 2nd XV, we wish Conor, Tom, and Jacob every success in their new roles.
Congratulations, lads! 👏

🏉💛🖤 Father’s Day at Amber Valley Rugby Club 🖤💛🏉

What a cracking morning at the club!

A few well earned beers ✔️🍻

The dads turned up thinking experience would beat youth. The kids turned up with absolutely no respect for their elders and spent the morning running rings around us! 😅

A huge thank you to all the dads, grandads, father figures and families who joined us today. Days like this remind us that rugby is about much more than the game. It’s about friendships, laughter, community and making memories together.

We know Father’s Day can mean different things to different people, but we’re grateful to spend it with such an amazing rugby family.

P.S. No dads were seriously injured during the touch match. The BBQ’s dignity, however, may never recover. 🔥🍔🍺🏉😂
