🔨 Nail on the head! Fit shaming is real... and I hear about it from my clients all the time.
Comments from work colleagues. Little digs from friends. Jokes about eating healthy or going to the gym.
Here's the truth: don't let anyone make you feel guilty for investing in yourself.
We're not chasing a quick fix. We're not chasing a number on the scales. We're not chasing validation from others. We're building healthy habits, strong bodies and a future where we can move well, feel good and stay independent for as long as possible.
That's why we train. That's why we fuel our bodies properly. That's why we keep showing up, even when it's hard.
The goal isn't just to look different. The goal is to live better.
So when someone tries to make you feel bad for choosing the gym over excuses, or consistency over shortcuts, remember this...
You're doing it so that in your 60s you can run around with your grandkids. So that in your 80s you can still look after yourself. You're investing in decades of health—not just a few weeks of weight loss.
Shaming is never okay. But mocking someone for trying to become healthier, stronger and more capable says far more about the person making the comment than the person putting in the work.
The health and weight-loss industry is flooded. Multi-million-pound companies are still telling people that pasta is "free" or unlimited, while a chicken salad with avocado is somehow a bad choice.
We've been sold the idea that weight loss equals health. It doesn't.
Health over aesthetics. Strength over shortcuts. Build a body that will carry you through life, not just through summer.
Work hard now so that growing old is easier.
Keep showing up. Your future self will thank you. 💪
