It was wet 💦
It was windy 🍃
But damn that was fun 😁
Massive thanks to all the travelling teams who joined us to celebrate the South Festival 2026 in Aldershot today
In spite of the atrocious weather conditions, we had over active 65 players registered, witnessed the birth of 8 new officials, and some fantastic flowing rugby was played.
Huge thanks to Steve Allen for travelling down to run the officials course and support the new refs as they took their first steps into officialdom. Big thanks to all who donated raffle/auction prizes, and everyone who bought tickets/placed bids.
Thanks to AJM Garden Rescue for tidying up the clubhouse grounds, our sponsors MTech for their ongoing support and to all of our fantastic volunteers who made today possible 👏🏻
Special thanks to 1st Ash Vale Scout Group for braving the rain and running the BBQ to keep everyone fed!
Congratulations to Cardiff Rugby League Masters on winning team of the tournament and Terance Puna for Player of the Tournament
All in all, just a big THANK YOU to everyone who helpd make this such a great exhibition of what Masters Rugby is all about 🏉💪🏻

It's South Festival time!
The "i"s are crossed and the "t"s dotted, with everything lined up for a great day of Masters Rugby League (we are choosing to ignore the weather 😉)
Safe travels to all heading down to the club - first games kick off at 1315hrs.
Bar will be open and BBQ fired up all afternoon, with a raffle to follow this afternoon

***SOUTH FESTIVAL PARKING***
As anyone who has visited us before will know, parking directly adjacent to the clubhouse is extremely limited, and thus will not be available for visiting teams (except for disabled parking).
Players and supporters are advised of alternative options as per the map below in the green highlighted areas. These are all free to use.
There is parking at the end of Guildford Road for Aldershot Park which is a short walk to the clubhouse. This is open to the public.
Alternatively, we have secured exclusive use of the overflow car park at Alderwood School. The red arrow highlights the shortest walk to the clubhouse - there is a gate between the school grounds and Aldershot Park which will be open for this purpose, so don't be put off when if you find yourself in the woods - you are on the right track!
What3Words for both options -
Aldershot Park Parking - tricky.flesh.agenda
Alderwood School - dock.cheese.festivity

Aldershot & Fleet Masters would like to place on record our condemnation of this outrageous behaviour from our "friends" Solent Spitfires
We are all used to seeing strange men hanging around in bushes with binoculars as we train, but normally this is just the local weirdos - nobody expected them to be travelling from Southampton.
Having read plenty of Mr Tyremans "poetic" match reports, we remain confident that his spying mission will portray us in a positive light, with skill levels up there with the greats of the modern game. As such we will not be pursuing any formal action, and will take these actions as a compliment on this occasion.
We look forward to meeting Solent on the pitch on Friday, and to avoid any further such missions being necessary, will we be sharing the team sheet shortly 😉
Another Southampton Team in trouble!
Southampton based Solent Spitfires in new for all the wrong reasons!
