I’m excited to be taking Brighter Skies Transformational Therapy along to Freedom to Flourish – World Menopause Day in Stratford-upon-Avon! 🌸

On Sunday 18 October, I’ll be joining more than 50 exhibitors at the Crowne Plaza for a whole day dedicated to understanding menopause and supporting the people affected by it.

There will be expert talks, practical workshops and lots of opportunities to discover different ways of supporting yourself and the people around you.

At my stand, I’ll be talking about something that can sometimes get overlooked when we talk about Menopause:

The emotional side.

How we're feeling.
How we're coping.
How our confidence can change.
How old emotions and experiences can sometimes feel much bigger than they used to.

And how learning to understand and release what we're carrying can help us feel more like ourselves again.

You don't need to have everything figured out.

You don't even need to know exactly what to do next.

Come along, have a chat, ask a question, or simply say hello.
I'd love to meet you. 🌸

📅 Sunday 18 October | 9am–6pm
📍 Crowne Plaza, Stratford-upon-Avon
🎟️ Tickets are just £7

And you can bring your partner, family member or a friend too.

Come along. Have a look around. Take what you need from the day. And maybe discover something that helps you see your next chapter a little differently.

I’ll see you there. 💛

One day, something that feels unfamiliar now may simply feel like your life.

Feeling peaceful.

Trusting yourself.

Laughing freely.

Making plans you're excited about.

Waking up and looking forward to what's ahead.

At first, a different life can feel unfamiliar.

But unfamiliar doesn't mean it isn't meant for you.

Sometimes it simply means you haven't lived there yet.

There are versions of your life you haven't even imagined yet.

Conversations you haven't had.

People you haven't met.

Places you haven't visited.

Things that will make you laugh that haven't happened yet.

Moments that one day you'll look back on and think...

“I'm so glad I kept going.”

Your story is still being written.

And there could be some truly beautiful chapters ahead.

You are allowed to outgrow the life you once thought you wanted.

Sometimes life takes us somewhere we never expected to go.

And for a while, we can find ourselves looking backwards at the life we thought we'd have.

But what if there's another possibility?

What if the life ahead isn't a lesser version of the one you imagined...

just a different one?

One filled with people you haven't met yet.

Places you haven't been.

Experiences you haven't had.

And parts of yourself you haven't discovered.

You don't have to know what it all looks like yet.

Just leave a little room for life to surprise you.

What a difference a week can make.

This time last week I was enjoying an impromptu “aqua aerobics” class in a pool in Corfu with new holiday friends. 😂

My fiancé and I had enjoyed a week of sunshine, laughs and cocktails and were looking forward to an evening having dinner overlooking the sea.

This week?

I'm sitting in my office watching the rain fall outside my window. ☔️

Who else plays the “this time last week/month/year” game?

I know I do.

When I was a single mum, I often found myself looking back at the past and thinking about everything that had happened to bring me to where I was.

After separation and divorce, I think that's something many of us can relate to.

We look back at how life used to be.

The things we wish had been different.

The choices we might have made differently.

The future we thought we were going to have.

But over time, I realised something.

If I kept looking backwards, I was going to miss what might be waiting for me ahead.

Because at that time, I couldn't have imagined some of the moments that would eventually become part of my life.

The people I hadn't met yet.
The places I hadn't visited.
The laughter I hadn't shared.
The experiences I hadn't had.

And a future I hadn't even begun to imagine.

So if you find yourself playing the “this time last year” game tonight, be gentle with yourself.

But maybe allow yourself to play another game too...

“What could this time next year look like?”
Because your past may be part of your story.

But there are still pages you haven't written, people you haven't met and moments you haven't lived.

And sometimes what feels like an ending...
is simply the place where a new beginning starts.

You don't have to have your whole future mapped out.

Sometimes, you just need to believe that it can be different.

Different from what you've experienced.

Different from what you expected.

And maybe even better than you once imagined.

You don't need to know exactly how you'll get there today.

Just allow yourself to believe that something wonderful could still be ahead of you.

What would you love your kids to believe about themselves as they grow up?

That their feelings matter?

That it's okay to ask for help?

That they don't have to stay in situations that make them unhappy?

That they can have boundaries?

That rest isn't something they have to earn?

That they are worthy of love, care and kindness?

I imagine we'd want all of those things for them.

And one of the ways our kids can begin learning these things is by seeing them lived around them.

Not perfectly.

Not every day.

But little by little.

When you allow yourself to rest.

When you ask for support.

When you speak kindly to yourself.

When you create boundaries.

When you allow yourself to enjoy your life again.

You're not only telling them what's possible.

**You're showing them.**

And maybe that's one of the most beautiful parts of choosing to take care of yourself.

You're giving yourself something you deserve...

while quietly showing them that they deserve it too.

Kaliméra from Corfu 🌴

However you’re spending this weekend, I hope you allow yourself to notice what you have to be grateful for.

When did you last do something simply because YOU enjoyed it?

Not because the kids wanted to.

Not because it needed doing.

Not because it was good for somebody else.

Just because **you wanted to.**

Somewhere amongst work, parenting, responsibilities and everything life asks of us, our own joy can quietly slip further down the list.

But your life is happening too.

You're allowed to laugh.

Have fun.

Make plans you're excited about.

Spend time with people who make you feel good.

And do things for no better reason than...

they make you happy.

This weekend, make a little room for something that belongs entirely to you.

What will you choose?
