Bowls Scotland is delighted to announce the 18 players and directors selected to represent Scotland at the 2026 Atlantic International Challenge in Belfast, Ireland, from 6-9 September.

Bringing together international experience, national champions, Commonwealth Games representatives and exciting emerging talent, the squad will compete against Canada, Ireland and the USA across four days of high-quality international competition.

DARREN IS INTO THE SEMI-FINAL! 🔴⚪️👏🏻

What a day for Darren, winning two games to book his place in the Gents Singles Semi-Final!

First up, Darren defeated Kevin Stephen of Mintlaw 21–15, before following that up with an excellent 21–13 victory over Barry McGregor of Burnhead.

Darren is now guaranteed a medal at the Scottish National Finals! 🥉🏆

He’ll play in the Gents Singles Semi-Final tomorrow morning, with a place in the final up for grabs.

What an achievement from Darren — massive congratulations and the very best of luck for tomorrow! 👏🏻

Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be for our pairs as Gary Prunty & Martyn Jenkins were defeated 23–15 by West Kilbride.

There was better news for Darren Couper, who recorded an excellent 21–14 victory over Paul Jamieson of Thornton to progress to the next round.

Darren now takes on Kevin Stephen of Mintlaw tomorrow morning.

Another outstanding performance from Liam this morning as he defeated Robbie Dunlop of Dreghorn 21–17 to book his place in the Under 25 Singles Final.

Standing in his way is his county teammate Gavin Johnstone of Newmains, with the final getting underway at 4:00pm.

What an incredible achievement from Liam already — but one more game to go!
