A dominant performance from the boys on what wasn’t the best surface and a really tight park.

They adapted brilliantly, played some excellent football and scored some cracking goals along the way! 🔥⚽️

Over the two games I thought we were by far the better team, and it was brilliant to come away unbeaten. 💪🖤💛

Tonight was also about development. Every single player got the chance to play in every position — and there wasn’t a single moan from any of them! 👏 That attitude is exactly what we want to see.

It got a wee bit tasty towards the end — which personally I love 😂🔥 — but that’s another part of their learning. We need to keep the head, stay disciplined and not be reactive.

Plenty of fight, plenty of football and another excellent night from the Blacks.

💛🖤 BSA Yellows 2018s 🖤💛
Both coaches were immensely proud of the BSA Yellows 2018s today.
The boys competed against arguably some of the best teams in Lanarkshire at the highest level of grassroots football, and that achievement alone should not be overlooked. To come away with a win, a draw, and two narrow defeats highlights the incredible progress this group has made.
Today showed that the BSA Yellows belong at this level. There were plenty of positives, along with a few valuable lessons as the boys continue to adapt to the step up in ball size, movement, and the pace of the game.
What stood out most was the desire, determination, and teamwork shown by every player. The boys worked hard for each other, never gave up, and represented the academy brilliantly throughout the day.
Results are important, but development is what matters most, and the progression in this team is clear to see. Every player should be proud of their efforts.
Well done, boys. Keep working hard, keep learning, and keep enjoying your football. The future is bright for this BSA Yellows 2018s team. ⚽️💛🖤

🌟 MEET THE PLAYER - IBRAHEEM ("IBBY") 🌟
This week we're celebrating one of the academy's brightest young talents, Ibraheem, better known to his teammates as Ibby! 💛🖤
Playing out on the wing, Ibby loves getting on the ball, showing off his tricks and bringing a bit of magic to the pitch. In his own words, "I will show you the magic" and anyone who's watched him play knows he always backs that up!
A huge fan of Lamine Yamal, Ibby enjoys expressing himself with the ball and is always looking to learn and improve. Off the pitch, his dedication is just as impressive, currently learning the Quran in Arabic by heart, which shows fantastic commitment and determination.
One of Ibby's favourite football memories is being a Flag Bearer for Rangers, a day he'll never forget, and we know there will be plenty more special moments ahead.

🌟🏆 WORLD CUP WINNER! 🏆🌟
A huge congratulations to Elliot for lifting this week's Blantyre Soccer Academy 2018 World Cup Trophy! 👏⚽
The weather was absolutely brutal, but Elliot showed fantastic determination, effort and attitude throughout the session. He never stopped working hard and fully deserved to get his hands on the trophy at the end of the night!
A massive well done to all the players who turned up and gave everything in some very tough conditions. The effort, teamwork and commitment on display was brilliant to see. That's what BSA is all about.

🖤💛 MEET THE PLAYER | Elliot McSkimming 💛🖤
This week we're shining the spotlight on our brilliant goalkeeper Elliot "Ell" McSkimming! 🧤⚽
Elliot is a big fan of maths, loves getting out on his bike, and when it comes to football, there's nothing he enjoys more than pulling off a great save. His favourite players are Donnarumma and Courtois, which tells you everything you need to know about the standards he's aiming for!
Playing between the sticks takes courage, concentration and confidence, and Elliot continues to develop these qualities every week at training. Always willing to learn and improve, he's becoming a reliable presence in goal and loves helping his team.
A huge well done to Elliot for all his hard work and effort. Keep enjoying your football, keep making those saves, and keep working hard! 👏

🟡⚫️ BSA YELLOWS 2018’s 🟡⚫️

A slow start from the boys today, but as the matches went on, they really started to grow into it. 💪⚽️

We were really impressed with some of the football we played today — some brilliant passing, great movement and a few cracking goals along the way! 🔥⚽️

Our toughest test came in the final game and the boys were outstanding. 👏 They worked hard for each other, battled for every ball and showed exactly what they’re capable of.

Plenty to build on and a lot of positives to take from our first games back! 💛🖤

🟡⚫️ BSA BLACKS 2018’s ⚫️🟡

What a way to kick-start the second half of the season. The boys were excellent today. 👏⚽️

Usually I wouldn’t go into things individually, but today definitely warrants it because every one of the boys played their part.

Elliot – Unreal in goals. Reads the game so well and kept us in every match. A brilliant addition to BSA. 🧤

Mikey – Solid again today. Kept everything tidy, defended brilliantly and barely put a foot wrong.

Brody – Brilliant today. Got himself on the scoresheet a few times and you could see his confidence growing on the park.

Paul – Amazing today. His passing was excellent, got stuck into everything and adapted wherever we asked him to play. Unlucky not to grab a few goals as well.

Ronan – The boy has so much energy. Fearless as always and never scared to put his body on the line for the team.

Quinn – A bag of tricks today. Excellent on the ball, and his reading of the game in the final match was brilliant.

Jaxyn – Brilliant today and a real nuisance for the opposition. His confidence grew with every game and it showed.

Noah – Solid throughout. Closed the ball down really well, forced teams into mistakes and then popped up with the winner at the end. ⚽️👏

Really proud of the boys today. The football was good, the effort was excellent and the confidence is growing.

Now the next step is simple — we need to shoot more and start killing games off when we’re on top.

Brilliant first week back for the Golds! ⚽️👏

Some great football on show today — good passing, cracking goals and strong tackling throughout. The boys worked hard for each other and it was great to see them putting so much of what we’ve been working on into their game. 💪⚽️

But the biggest positive today was their discipline and attitude. Absolutely delighted with how the boys conducted themselves and represented BSA. 👏🖤💛

A really positive start to the season — plenty more to come from this wee team!
