Friday Dragons Masters of Martial Arts Accrington

Its always great to catch up with our former Little Dragon students and check in with their progress. Gracie is doing great in junior class and entered our last local competition where she was a medal winner, executing a brilliant Kata. Excellent job Gracie, everyone at Friday Dragon's is super proud of you! Keep it up 🏆🏅🥋

A very sweaty class tonight!! 🥵 Everyone did their very best despite the heat. Well done to Willow for winning the Dragon this week (excellent Drill number 1!!!). We're grading next week and that will be our last class before the summer break. If it is as hot next Friday, Dragon's are welcome to attend in a T-shirt and Gi bottoms. Sensei Southworth 🥋🐲

Thanks to our super Little Dragon Alfie, for showing Flame a great time when he stayed over at your house recently. He really enjoyed himself!! Don't forget to share your pictures with Sensei if the class Dragon stays with you for the week! We love seeing what you get up to ❤️

😎Summer Break😎

This year our Summer break runs from 20th July through to 3rd August. This means that ALL classes will be closed for this 2 week period to allow all our Sensei's to have a well earned Summer holiday.

Friday Dragon's will not be open on 24th and 31st of July. If your child attends more than one class please be aware that NO classes will be open during this period.

Friday Dragon's last class is 17th July, with everyone back on the mat on 7th August.

I will be giving everyone a reminder slip on Friday.

A superb Dragon Belt grading for Maja today! Well done Super Star 🌟 Maja has trained with Friday Dragon's consistently for three years. She knows our syllabus inside out and has been a credit to our class. She a lovely, kind and chatty girl who we will miss enormously. We will however check in on her as she progresses towards junior black belt.

We also saw Lily and Phoebe graduate from Little Dragon's. These lovely ladies have only been with our class for a short time but, they've both shown an excellent attitude to learning, have mastered some tricky techniques and are ready to move onto something a little more difficult. Winnie was also due to graduate today but we missed her on the mat. Her graduation ribbon and letter was passed on to her Dad for her.

All three girls will start at our Junior classes next week. We will miss them all and wish them all the very best in their new classes.

Great class tonight everyone! We graded Maja up to full brown tab, welcomed Willow to try out (she won the ball game!) and did some fantastic partner work. Harriet took home Flame for executing the best flying front kick EVER and Maja took home Spiro as a reward for a superb grading. I'm off on holiday for 2 weeks now, so be good for Sensei Randall!!

A bit of a chaotic class today with Alex being off sick, but we got lots of work done 💪 Pictured is an agility game where we face off against an opponent completing various tasks on our knees before Sensei shouts "grab". Well done to the Friday Dragon's who took part in this weekend's Nunchaku Course! I'm super proud of you!! Great work everyone!! I'm really looking forward to hearing how you all got on !! 👏 👏

A massive well done to all the ladies who took part in our Mum's Sellf Defence course over the weekend. An extra special nod to the ladies who drop their kids off at Friday Dragon's every week!! I started my Jujitsu journey when my own children began training at Masters of Martial Arts nearly 20 years ago. I train myself twice a week and teach my amazing Dragon's class every Friday. I've no intention of stopping any time soon! Well done to you all, especially my Friday mum's 🙌
